It’s hard for me to express how touching I find the sentiment behind the golden bell, both in the context of the backstory and in the present day. The message never changes, but “We’re right here” means something quite different to Cricket--who blasted a bunch of kids into the sky not knowing if he’d just killed them--versus, say, Wiper. 

It’s got layers like an onion, and like an onion it makes me want to cry a little.
