Echo
The Siren
❝What is it? What do you want now?❞ ❝Ugh, Poseidon above, why do I love you?? You are such a idiot! Lovable, but an idiot all the same.❞
Age: ???
Race: Siren
Gender: Nonbinary
Pronouns: They/them
Physical Appearance: Echo has the wings and feet of a large bird. Their wings are brown and soft to the touch, and in addition to wings they also have arms. Skin is dark tanned and they have short black hair. Their most distinguished physical trait are their bright yellow eyes with slitted pupils. It's hard not to notice them. Height presumed short. Echo does not have a human appearance.
Trope(s): Oblivious to love, unrequited love, last to know, insecure
Echo has been helping your family with hunts for the past eight months, but despite this they have never talked about themself before. While you do not know much about them, you do know that they keep push away at any personal questions with a cold response. Echo acts as a spotter, looking out for ships and helping with luring humans off those ships during said hunts. They have really sharp eyes, able to see thousands of miles ahead.
Beyond the cold defense mechanisms is a sensitive siren who is afraid of getting close to others. They consider themself ugly—an abomination of a half-winged half-human creature. Nowhere is safe for them; not even a tree can protect them from the wrath of humans. Echo feels so much insecurity about everything and so they don't trust easily at all in case someone betrays them. That does not stop them from helping your family out, though.
You first met them during the worst hunt of your life. You were spotted by humans and our brother was injured in the process. Echo swooped in with a distraction, and you and your family were able to make a quick escape. In thanks for their service, your parents allowed them to join you on your future hunts in case trouble like that occurs again. In return, they would get a portion of the energy you collected.
Echo remains silent for the most part, speaking with a sharp tongue when they must. Siren wings are impossible to hear, so you never know if Echo is trailing behind you. Besides the faint noise of cutting air, their presence can remain largely unknown.
A trait they likely gained in their years alone; before they met you.
Fun Facts About Echo:
Your official unofficial guardian "spirit"
"Ancient guardian spirit" as K likes to call them
Echo is demisexual, so it will take them a very long time for them to realize they have feelings for you. Demi overall
This is why Echo's romantic route has the most slowburn. They likely won't realize it until the last second
tired. just tired.
Sirens sleep though! They get sleep, but Echo gets very little since they suffer from frequent nightmares and insomnia
Stonecold to a lot of things. This includes murder and puppy eyes
Their yellow eyes glow when they sing. It allures their prey and creates a cloud of confusion, allowing them to sweep in before their victim realizes what's coming next
Echo left their nest when [REDACTED]. They were alone for six years by themself before meeting your family
Has tried human food before when they managed to get a chance. Would eat fish and fruit, but vegetables are the ban of their existence. Do not even try to put it in front of them
Loves humming a tune about a depressed man whose lover was lost at sea, presumably dead. Awfully sad, but it is their favorite
Nervous tick of theirs is when their feathers ruffle up. Same tick if they are pissed. So really you never know if they are nervous or ticked off
Faster than any existing birds. Yes, this means Echo is faster than the peregrine falcon (who can reach up to 240 miles per hour). While sirens are fast, Echo is faster than most. Much faster
You will want to keep your eyes on this RO for...many reasons.
We can change. I believe you want to Clarke, I just don’t believe you can.
i hope the roof flies off and i get blown to space.
“Ditto,” Sophie sighed heavily.
i never really feel a thing.
“I think that’s the type of thing you should go to the doctor for? Unless you mean emotionally, then I’m here for you and I already have the number of some therapists around here if you’re interested?” Leo’s voice was soft and kind, not wanting to sound like he was making a joke of it or being rude.
character daemons —> Louisa Verity: T h e L y n x
Lynx is described as being a master seer, they are said to have been gifted with a “second sight” and are able to see through solid objects and into the souls of people. While Louisa’s intuition is not quite that adept, she is nonetheless quite vigilant and observant and seems to often be steps ahead of everyone else when it comes to planning. Her high intellect has also given her a sort of “premonition” when she can imagine inventions and advancements in technology before they actually happen. She can create a different future with her brilliant mind.
They are said to almost be mind readers and pick up the thoughts and motivations of others. Louisa can be quite adept at reading other people and seeks to find the truth and gather knowledge. In the Himalayas, the lynx is called the “ghost cat” as it is so elusive and never shows itself. Louisa is good at concealing herself and seeming inconspicuous when she wants to, she sometimes almost appears to materialise in front of people. They are also greatly linked to winter and snow which links to Louisa’s namesake as being the Ice Queen.
Like most cats, the lynx will spend most of its time alone and it is typically only when the female is in heat that it will seek out a mate. Louisa is by nature rather solitary and often feels separate from people when when sharing the same physical space. She does have a few companions that she turns to in times of loneliness but most of her time will be spent solitary. The Lynx bounds effortlessly through the snow, with big fluffy feet it seems to posses a whimsical, kittenish, light-hearted play. Unbeknownst to a lot of people Louisa does have a child-like side to her that knows how to laugh and play but it just needs drawing out. She tends to take herself rather seriously otherwise. Honourable mentions go to the cat and the leopard.
Blissfully deep sigh of being in olfactory nirvana, here... 'Poeme', not only a beautiful and apt name for a fragrance but a gorgeous, opulent, creamy, rich shining 24 carat diamond of fragrance. If gold, jade and pearls could have a smell, 'Poème' would be it. A little mysterious, renders people spellbound and radiates that 'je ne sais quoi' soft almost careless and effortless sensuality of a a gorgeous 'woman's woman'. A 'femme'. This is a bewitching caress of utter floral fragrance beauty. Totally stunning, totally convincing, totally out-of-this-mediocre-world. Heavenly romance, and butterflies-in-the-stomach beauty in a bottle. Not sex, not sugar, not spices, not lollipop, not bling bling, not the smell of perfume-analphabetic money hunting shareholders, not a celeb image in a bottle. But alas: beauty, bliss, knockout ravishing joy in a bottle. 'Yes, I do for now and forever after'-feeling in a fragrance bottle. Smashingly shamelessly romantic, utterly feminine, soft yet strong, an undisturbable quiet zen-like presence and feel of a fragrance. Bliss, heavenly bliss, exquisite totally original delight. Nose candy for floral and other real original deep-fragrance lovers.
This is a flower lovers nirvana, an olmfactory orgasm, an ode to the beauty of nature's blooming treasures. I'm not a real flower fragrance lover, but I recognise an exceptionally great and strong and original masterpiece fragrance when I sniff one. 'Poème' is one of these rare creatures. Top: Blackcurrant, Himalayan poppy (!), plum, green notes, mandarin, narcissus, peach, bergamot, datura (!) Middle: Mimose, leather (!), ylang ylang, freesia, jasmine, heliotrope, vanilla, orange blossom tuberose, rose, Top: Tonka bean, amber, musk, vanilla, cedar, orange blossom(!)
It really smells like a poem, written by addicted French 'poète maudit' Charles Baudelaire, or it looks like a painting by the equally French 'peintre maudit' and addict of the hallucinogenic anisic drink absinthe Toulouse-Lautrec. 'Poème' has the reputation of being a dense, albeit complex flowery fragrance without much deepness. But there is so much more to 'Poème'! It is a peculiar perfume masterpiece-with-a-story. Mad scientist-parfumeur Cavallier smuggles leather, poppies, datura, an indolic note... into a so called 'classic' rich very 'French' floral. Devilishly clever and an unexpected hit for Lancôme. Like a devil's pact. So think again about the 'mainstream floral' 'Poème'. The old lady has some surprisingly daringly dirty tricks up her sleeve! And more importantly: sniff a tester vial of this olfactory poem again. You will by truly stunned! And hallucinate being in perfume heaven. Probably you really will be...
This fragrance composition is exquisite formula where all the notes unite in harmony creating a beautiful spirit that enraptures you with romantic warmth and intimateness . Yes, I find this fragrance of Lancôme very loving that has a comforting warmth to it like a loving embrace, word and deed by love one or when you're swimming in the glow of self love that brings that bliss coming from high above embracing you and making you feel the magic of its light that is so intimate that no mere mortal words cannot explain it fully by only to experience it yourself. I have gotten many complements by even the coldest of people in my life who don't ever complement or even demonstrate affection but this perfume's warmth and beauty caressed their cold heart to that they were able loosen their stern nature to give a sincere complement to me and even ask by its name and complement again, it was quite moving what the power of perfume can do and be its witness . I recommend this treasure of Lancôme to someone who isn't afraid to show their love and warmth be it extroverted or introverted style of expression but still gives its warm light of love for this perfume isn't for the fickle type or the bitter who are blind by the magic of life's treasures and blessings.
rose blossoms that are sinking in fresh honey.
So gorgeous, deep and intoxicating… It is not only a poem; it’s a song of light and darkness, of sunny days and hot nights, of deep love and flirty affair.
like golden honey, on creamy florals with vanilla all wrapped in sunshine.
Feels like a light, soft blanket of liquid sunshine.
Poeme is a beautiful combination of femininity and seduction, peaches and cream, milk and honey. A burst of fruit and then a very sensuous dry down develops into a very warm and sensual fragrance.
The first time I ever wore it I felt like swooning - gorgeous sweet, but deep golden nectar. Like liquid light swirling all over my skin.
