What Kind of Partner Would They Be? [Villains are Destined to Die]
[Original Penelope Eckhart, Original Yvonne Eckhart, Emily, Laila, Siyeon Cha]
Original Penelope Eckhart
When you first talk to her, she's defensive and volatile. She will think that you're mocking her since she's used to being hated and rejected, so she'll absolutely react harshly towards your advances.
Her horrible childhood, both inside and outside of Dukedom, makes her quick to assume the worst in people. This means that because of all those years of mistreatment, she can interpret even neutral actions as insults or jabs and take offense.
She's cold and distant with everyone and tries to hide her emotions. She mostly fails, however, and this happens mostly when she's angry.
Every compliment or kind gesture feels like a trap, and she doubts your every action for a very long time.
She lashes out quickly and is prone to anger. Especially so when she feels cornered, humiliated, or powerless.
Despite the years, she still struggles with noble etiquette and formal speech. It frustrates her and causes many misunderstandings with the people around her.
It takes her a long while to get used to you, but once she does, you'll notice it pretty quickly. She'll try to sit closer to you, smile more, dance with you, and speak more calmly.
She doesn't have anyone that she has a true connection with, so when you are that person, expect her to be by your side 24/7.
Her adoptive father and brothers don't really talk to her, or even seem to like her. Most of the time, if they even accept that they mistreated her, the only thing she got for that was gifts. So, the only way she truly knows how to show affection is through giving you something. Stuff like expensive jewelry, clothes, and rare trinkets. You will be spoiled a lot.
This also means she is materialistic, and you giving gifts to her is important to her as well. How else can she be sure you actually love her?
She'll rely on you emotionally and get quite clingy once she trusts you.
She can get very violent at times. She's also still quick-tempered, but she'll be quick to apologize now, too. It'll be awkward for both of you.
Jealousy will be a problem. She will become cold, silent, and passive-aggressive when she feels neglected or replaced.
You become one of the few people she would die or kill for.
She becomes very passionate and vulnerable with you, and sometimes it can get really intense and overwhelming.
She craves attention and would love physical affection. Touches, hair strokes, forehead kisses, hugs, holding hands... she wants all of it!
She might try to become someone who would suit you more and try to change herself in hopes of getting you to love her even more, eager to please.
This is also due to her insecurities about being a "replacement" and a "fake", as she was told over a decade now.
She enjoys luxury and fine things in life. Hopefully, you can afford that.
She still has a sharp tongue, which means sarcasm, teasing, and brutally honest comments will be a part of your daily life. Sometimes, she might utter very mean things, too, just to hurt you the way she feels hurt.
She doesn't actually like social gatherings. How could she when people mock her all the time? She would rather stay somewhere private and spend your time with you alone.
She tends to overthink and replays every conversation in her mind, and worries she might have done or said something wrong. This means she needs lots of reassurance.
You need to handle her gently during conflicts. If you raise your voice, sigh, huff, or roll your eyes, it'll trigger her, and she'll just double down even if she knows she's in the wrong.
Original Yvonne Eckhart
She's very sweet-natured and gentle. Most people would say she's kind, warm, and easy to approach.
She's very expressive and is not afraid to show her affection or gratitude.
Contrary to popular belief, she does actually have a quick temper like Reynold, but it fades quickly and she rarely acts on it.
She's very sensitive and gets hurt easily by harsh words or coldness. You can see that easily, even when she tries to hide it.
She's very family-oriented and cares deeply about her father and brothers. She values them and is very loyal to them.
When she likes you, she gets very shy but tries her best to leave a good impression on you and be liked by you.
She gets easily flustered by compliments and romantic gestures.
She's not exactly timid, but she's soft spoken, polite, and careful with her words. She doesn't like hurting people and would rather get along, even if she isn't exactly their fan.
You have to get along with the Duke, Reynold, and Derrick if you want to have a chance with her. She'll arrange many family dinners and events for you to hang out with, too.
She loves small romantic moments and going on dates with you. It can be anything as long as you are together, though.
She's a romantic person at heart and will take care of you in any way she can.
She'll daydream about you all the time and think about your future wedding after being together for, like, six months.
She's deeply attuned to your emotions and will know when something is wrong and try to make you open up to her.
Emily
She's actually very insecure and constantly wonders if she's good enough for you. She's "just a maid," after all, and tends to underestimate herself.
In that aspect, you could say she's her own hater.
Even small compliments and casual affection make her blush easily.
She expects very little of you and will boast about you to anyone who will listen.
At the beginning of your relationship, she'll be constantly apologizing for stuff because she's still afraid you might leave her.
She hides her past from you, especially how cruel she had been to her Master. But, of course, you figure it out.
She becomes extremely loyal once it's clear you're a thing, and will try to remember everything you like and don't like.
She wants to take care of you and does little things for you all the time, like bringing tea, tidying your clothes, or cooking you food.
She'll seek reassurance often and needs to hear you say you love her.
She becomes very confident, joyful, and more expressive with time.
She'll fix your collar, choose matching accessories, and brush your hair all the time.
She'll chatter excitedly and talk about her whole day with you.
She might get a bit clingy and worry about you constantly, reminding you to eat, rest, or take a break. She would probably do some of your chores when she can, too.
She's your ride or die, and would do anything for you to keep you safe and aid you.
Laila
She acts all sweet and caring, but would test your loyalty constantly to see if you would "choose" her over others and make you do stuff for her all the time.
She's very possessive and expects absolute devotion from you. If you do anything that she sees as a "betrayal", she'll react harshly.
She demands admiration and expects you to affirm how much you love her constantly.
Even when she says she "loves" you, she struggles to actually understand or really care about your feelings unless they benefit her.
She gets very cold and cruel when she's displeased and will guilt-trip you to feel even worse.
She has no problem making people think you're the abuser in the relationship and crying fake tears.
If she does manage to actually love you like you love her, she would be intensely obsessed with you.
She'll be hyper-focused on you and get jealous easily of any woman who comes near you.
She doesn't care for physical touch and would prefer intellectual intimacy. She wants to have someone who can keep up with her in conversations and give valuable opinions.
She'd be very protective of you and have no problem killing someone who she sees as a threat.
She isn't exactly "human" so there are times where she can get really distant and careless even without meaning to.
...Would she choose you over her goals, though? Even she isn't sure.
Siyeon Cha
At first, she won't open up and will assume your feelings for her are temporary or insincere, or that you're just trying to date her to mess with her like a bully.
This means she makes it really hard for you to approach her.
She won't be open to compliments or nice words, and it will make her tense. She'll just scoff and frown the whole time as if she can't believe what's actually coming out of your mouth, and it might even sour her mood and make her leave.
She watches you and tries to understand your "real" motive, and she's very slow to trust and even slower at opening up.
Because of all the bullying and neglect she had to suffer before entering college, she hates relying on people, even for small things.
If you do manage to soften her up, the changes will be very little and slow. Stuff like staying longer by your side, talking more, sitting next to each other during class, going to lunch together, sharing notes, studying together...for others, these are normal friendly actions, almost expected from them but for her it's definitely more.
She finds it hard to say "I love you" even when you're dating and would prefer to do stuff for you to show you that she cares.
She's really observant and will remember little details about you like your stress triggers, what kind of snacks you prefer, who your favorite bands are, and such.
She's protective over you and will step in if you're threatened or mistreated by your classmates or teachers.
She's really sarcastic and playful and tease you a lot, but only when you two are alone.
Before doing anything like holding your hand, kissing, or even hugging, she tests your boundaries slowly and will be really awkward about it. She really is not used to showing affection like this.
Once you're in the "safe" category, she's committed to that relationship with her whole heart.
She hates fighting and will avoid anything that could trigger an argument. She has lots of trauma and isn't the best at dealing with it.
She's really hardworking and tends to get so worked up over things that you'll have to step in to make sure she doesn't starve herself and gets enough sleep.
She still thinks she has to do everything alone, but she gets very thankful when you prove she doesn't and can rely on you.
She doesn't have many friends and would rather spend time one-on-one than go to loud social events. You'll have to do some convincing for that and tell her a week before, so she can mentally prepare herself.
AU where Cha Siyeon (ditoeftv) was Kim rok soo’s younger sister- (Yeah, I have a lot of AUs/crossovers of Kim rok soo knowing ppl from other manhwa’s, I read too many crossovers)
Kim rok soo was mentioned to have lived on the streets for a while, so what if during his time on the streets, he met little Siyeon just sleeping on the street and deciding that he would just take care of her? Like maybe at first just leaving her bits of food he found, and eventually going forward and sitting next to her giving her something to use as a blanket so that she stays warm while he just stays up in the cold making sure she doesn’t get too cold and that shes safe.
Maybe one cold day, when krs went off somewhere leaving her alone to keep her safe, Siyeon’s ‘family’ finds her and takes her in not giving her time to say goodbye or leave anything to show that she was safe.
When Kim rok soo get’s back, all he sees is an empty space, with no sign of her, or any sign that she had even been there in the first place, and he is just left there alone and heart broken that one of the few people that he’d let himself care for, the girl he’d seen as his little sister, (I have a lot of AUs with him having crossover siblings none bio tho) had just disappeared, sometimes he likes to pretend that she was brought into a nice family that she’ll tell stories of him to, maybe they’ll like the stories so much they try to find him and take him in too, a big happy family.
Maybe after they both transmigrate they see each other again, meeting at some ball in Eorka, and they reunite, they could be ‘siblings’ again, but never quite the same. They could never be the same. Penelope wouldn’t be that naive little girl in the alley again, and Cale could never be the older brother that Penelope remembered, because he was trash now, surely.
