Primo and Chain are both aromantic and have an Understanding that when a ritual calls for a sexual offering, Chain will fulfill that duty for Primo. it’s not a “Relationship” the way his brothers have, but it’s still that close bond with a person who you allow to see you at your most vulnerable.
and yeah they may fuck recreationally sometimes too, but that’s more for the fun of it. they’re not Mates (no matter how much Terzo may tease them)
granted, i do think (in a world where Mate Marks allow people to sense the wellbeing or location of their Mate) that Chain may bring up the idea of formally Marking Primo so they can ensure his safety. total toss up if the old man bites, but he respects the pragmatism of the idea
