Challenge 68: Over-Working: Time Management

I was more than happy to step in as a guest for this challenge because not only did I get a fun theme to work with, I believe being over-worked has unfortunately become the norm for us creatives. 

I went with a surreal, conceptual approach for this particular piece but the narrative’s there too; you can imagine his partner having some choice words for him after forgetting their romantic dinner date - again.

Challenge 68: Over-Working: “Burning the Candle at Both Ends”

A common phrase around the house growing up. Also - black flame in honor of Hocus-Pocus-Month.   If I get time I’m definitely going to go back and put as many in-between frames in here as possible. I also made a color version but I soon realized that maintaining the light with a colored candle was a challenge for which I am not yet prepared.

Challenge 68: Over-Working: Muddy Mind

When I'm overworked, I tend to have a hard time separating projects and ideas from one another... they end up weaving their way into each other, whether its concepts or visualization or thinking processes. Sometimes this produces amazing results, but more often than not, the ideas get muddy.

Challenge 68: Over Working: Shrine of Time

For many of us, balancing your day-to-day tasks, jobs, errands and personal items can seem like an unobtainable task. I know I’ve had days where I’ve felt the crush of the limited hours of the day! That’s what initially inspired this piece for the over worked challenge. By depicting it as a temple god was my fun way of visualizing the impossible. Hope you all enjoy!

For challenge 68, I am thinking of a topic of "over working", so anything that is related to long working time, hard working, sleepless, overwhelming situation, boring job, rushing deadlines, work/ life balance, or simply just your work station. Something work related.

Mutants AU: Loss

Wrote a Kiyoshi piece. Enjoy!

Written for BPS' Challenge 68 (Alternate Universe).

Title: Loss [Mutants AU]

Summary: It had never been heard before, a mutant actually losing his power. But then, Hanamiya was no ordinary attacker, and Kiyoshi had gotten no ordinary injury.

Kiyoshi was one of those mutants who tried as hard as he could to be normal as normal could be. Of course, he had the ability to harden his bone mass, and that did not make him very normal. In fact, it made him near invincible.
