Challenge 76: Google Doodle: Día de los Muertos
For my Google doodle, I chose to illustrate one of my favorite holidays in Mexico, Día de los Muertos. Beyond the bright colors and vivid visuals, the holiday has great symbolism and meaning. Hope you enjoy!

Challenge 76: Google Doodle: World Press Freedom Day I did my challenge for World Press Freedom Day (May 3rd) which celebrates information as a basic human right, “Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.“ -Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Because that is some good shit right there.

Challenge 76: Google Doodle: International Pickle Week I ended up going with a silly one-- International Pickle Week (May 14-25), which I thought was really hilarious. Why on earth do pickles need a whole week of the year? Anyone who knows me, or has ever eaten a meal with me, knows that I LOVE pickles... but even in my pickle fandom, I still don’t get why they need seven days of celebration. So, naturally, I decided to join in this confusing tribute by making my Google Doodle about the glorious, crunchy perfection that is a dill pickle. Caitlin
