Challenge 94: Flags: Crystal Tokyo

I started this challenge wanting to create a flag that best represented me but while doing research I came across Japan’s gorgeous Prefecture and City flag designs. They’re super simplified/ bold/ elegant/ a designers dream really. That’s when I knew I’d want to create something in that vein. 

I did get playful with my city choice tho, Crystal Tokyo. If you’re a Sailor Moon fan you know that after Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion ascend to power that’s the new name that Tokyo receives! With that in mind, I chose to stick with a purple flag (since the current Tokyo flag is a deep purple) that showcased a crescent moon as well as the top of the Silver imperial Crystal.

I didn’t want to rock the boat, just wanted to create something that would be believable in modern day Japan ( Hopefully I did alright XD ).

Challenge 94: Flags: Pride Month

For this challenge around, I wanted to create a flag that both incorporated my family heritage as well as celebrated Pride Month. Taking a previous piece I made for The Letter Society, I took the symbol of my family heritage—a mixture of four flags—and made it fabulous! Who doesn’t like a sassy pegasus?

Challenge 94: Flags: Dog & Cat Alliance 

My two cats (Bruno & Lucy) have recently found themselves in a new home with two basset hounds (Jordan & Baxter). Somehow, someway, magically... they all get along perfectly. I’d like to think they're following some sort of treaty:

1.) You can be awake sometimes, but should remain horizontal/napping at least 90% of the time.

2.) Find/eat/produce stinky things

3.) Shed everywhere

4.) Get snuggled

Challenge 94: Flags!

Okay!!! So for Challenge 94... Flags! I was inspired by whats currently going on in Denver, where they are creating a flag for each of the 78 neighborhoods: http://kdvr.com/2017/05/30/denver-designer-creating-flags-for-all-of-the-citys-78-neighborhoods/ So the idea is to create either a personal flag that represents you, or a flag that represents your neighborhood, an association you care about, or some sort of cause that you want to represent symbolically. -Allie
