Gateway To The Stars

One can almost feel the raw magical energy emanating from these ancient ruins as you approach. For centuries Soothsayers, Fortune Tellers and Prognosticators have come here to study the the moon and the stars. Some say you can even travel to a pocket dimension above the heavens themselves and practice strange dark magics.

This is a build I worked on yesterday and a bit today for Ninnster’s “Branches of Magic” September build challenge. I selected the Astrology branch, and taking inspiration from Stonehenge, I “simlified” it, and made it my own. I’m not 100% sure but this might be my first ever Library build.  Either way your magic using Sims (and even the “normies”) will find plenty to do on this lot. All they have to do is take a portal ride to the pocket dimension.  (click on images for hi-res version)

Little Timmy’s Treehouse of Terror

When Little Timmy found out that Dad was building a Fairy Princess Treehouse for his Sister Sally, Little Timmy got very angry.  Little Timmy did some very, very bad things, and Dad and Sally were never heard from again.  Mom decided to let Little Timmy finish the treehouse himself so that bad things didn't happen to her as well.  This is Little Timmy's Treehouse now, and Little Timmy doesn't like unwanted visitors. You wouldn’t like Little Timmy when he’s angry.

This month @xsorcier is hosting a #xChallengeMe build challenge.  Basically, someone creates a room filled with 10 objects that you have to create a room or build from, without changing the swatches.  @Sim_Michele created the room for me that you see in the last picture, and this build is what I created with those objects.

It should be noted that this is an incredibly “Dark” build.  Think Toy Story’s Sid (on steroids), meets Henry from the movie The Good Son, and you’ll get an idea what kind of naughty boy Little Timmy is.  On Twitch I routinely tease Sim_Michele about her “murder builds”(she is an incredibly sweet Simmer), and I was kind of dared to see just how “dark” I can get with a build myself. 

You can find the Treehouse of Terror in my SimDoughnut gallery (user id: simdoughnut).  This NoCC Generic “Kid” build sits on a 30x30 lot in Forgotten Hollow, but any 30x30 lot will accommodate it.  I hope you enjoy the build, and aren’t too disturbed by what you find within it.  On a side note, Little Timmy is also available on the gallery as well.

I’ll See You In Valhalla

So you're a Viking, and you're dead. Well fear not my friend for Valhalla is only a Valkyrie flight away, and soon you'll be spending your afterlife hunting, fishing, fighting, feasting, and quaffing down bottomless tankards of Ale and Mead with Odin himself until the day of Ragnarok begins.

This month the lovely Sim_Michele held a “Myths & Legends” build challenge, and I may have gotten a little bit ambitious and chose to create my interpretation of Valhalla, the legendary great feasting hall in Asgard. 

So once you’ve enjoyed seeing your own Viking Funeral in the shadow of  the great wolf Fenrir, your Ghostly Viking Sims can now fish and feast to their hearts content.  Needless to say it was a very fun build to create.

You can find my Valhalla build in my SimDoughnut gallery (userid: simdoughnut).  This NoCC Viking Ghost Home sits on the 64x64 lot in Windenburg.  I hope your Viking had many successful raids in life before passing on as this is a rather expensive place to call home.  As always, I hope you have as much fun with this build in your game as I did creating it.
