My Sunday Photo 21st March 2015: Challenging Perceptions
Yes, those are my pasty white thighs next to the gorgeous and tanned Katie Piper (who is one of the nicest people I have ever met).
With a teeny size 6 waist and a cute Kylie-esque figure, Katie doesn’t need me next to her to make her look amazing. Nevertheless here I am, owning who I am and loving who I am, just like all the other girls in todays show.
We’re on again tomorrow so full post is…

Syria. It’s not just what’s in all the media.
Let’s play a little game. You have less than 3 seconds to think about the answer to the following question. Be honest. What are the first 5 words that come to your mind when I say: Syria?
Now, does any one of those words that came to your mind relate to: revolution, civil war, killing civilians, protests?

This video, "Changing Perceptions", was produced as part of the Pro-Social Behaviour project to help challenge the negative perceptions of young people across Scotland. Premiered at the Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards in April 2011, it has since been watched by over 6000 people and was "tweeted" by none other than Stephen Fry to his 3 million+ followers!
Pro-Social Behaviour
Young Scot’s Pro-Social Behaviour project, funded by the Scottish Government’s Community Safety Unit, aimed to challenge the myths that most young people are involved in anti-social behaviour.
Young Scot worked in partnership with young people in five local authority areas (Aberdeenshire, Edinburgh, Scottish Borders, South Ayrshire and West Lothian), together with local Community Safety partnerships, to communicate the positive impact that many are making in their local community.
The project had a whole range of positive impacts including increasing the skills and confidence of the young people participating in delivering the work, as well as making a measurable difference in increasing awareness of the positive activities that young people are involved in within their communities.

In the Scottish Borders we worked with WIRED, a youth radio group. Listen to find out what they thought of being involved in the project:
