It's time to present you my versions of Zorglub and Pacôme in their younger years!

I mainly based them on Munuera's interpretation, though I redesigned Pacôme to better fit my own style. This mini-comic serves as an illustration for my fanfiction, which I published on AO3. It will likely become part of a larger project in the future.

I had this idea that Zorglub kisses Champignac's hand because he’s a Count, and that’s a high status no matter what - Zorglub himself can’t really boast anything like that. But he likes it. It’s part of their “game”.

Lately, I’ve often had this headcanon that Zorglub is willing to play along with Pacôme and give in to him in many ways, so that Pacôme can be the dominant one in their relationship. Zorglub is too clumsy, gullible, and flighty to take on that role himself. He understands this, so he doesn’t resist Pacôme’s dominance. However, if something goes wrong, Zorglub will still take control and can step in to protect Champignac.

Pacôme is the rational mind in their pairing, while Zorglub is just everything else lol

My Spirou x MLP crossover!

Regarding Spirou and Fantasio — the choice for them was pretty simple. I saw both of them as ponies. Fantasio is a unicorn because his magic helps him with his office work as a reporter, and Spirou is a pegasus because he often interacts with animals, especially squirrels that climb trees. His cutie mark is his signature red cap, which didn’t make it into the artwork.

I initially imagined Zorglub as a draconequus, because Discord is an ambiguous character and yet still an antihero. Personally, I don’t see Zorglub as a true villain — to me, he’s a rather changeable and chaotic character. Pacôme is a griffon because I didn’t want to make him a pony. He’s a biologist, a mycologist, who studies fungi and leads an entirely mundane life, which contrasts with Zorglub’s personality. Besides, he can fly, which means nothing limits him in a relationship with a draconequus.

Zantafio and Seccotine were trickier, because I came up with them much later. Zantafio fit perfectly into the role of a dragon, and as for Seccotine — I wanted more variety, so I decided not to make her a pony. She is a hippogriff.
