Heya!
I’m Doc_Locked, but you can just call me Doc. I study academic drawing at university, but I also love drawing characters from cartoons, movies, games, and TV shows.
I decided to update my pinned post to reflect the recent changes in my art.
Since 2018, I’ve been drawing Mayor Humdinger from PAW Patrol, even though I’m not really a fan of the show itself or the pups. At the moment, my focus has shifted more toward Bande Dessinée —mainly Spirou & Fantasio and The Smurfs, with Zorglub and Gargamel being my key characters.
Unfortunately, I’ve grown a bit tired of certain interactions within the PAW Patrol fandom, and since spring 2025 Zorglub has become the main character I draw, even though I first discovered him back in 2018. Still, I continue to consider Humdinger the most important mascot of my work, and I honor him by drawing him from time to time.
Now, let’s move on to the main rules of my blog (serving as a kind of disclaimer):
PAW Patrol:
• I don’t ship the pups. The only pairings I enjoy are Humdinger/Goodway (Gooddinger) and Speed Meister/Greatway (Greatmeister).
• I don’t accept Brunkerverse Humdinger from the movies — I only draw the version from the main TV series.
• I strongly disagree with political jokes about the show. I also don’t view Humdinger from the tv-show as a criminal villain who “deserves jail” (a common fandom opinion).
Spirou & Fantasio:
• I haven’t read all the comics, and I believe fan creativity should exist independently of canon. I mainly draw based on my own headcanons.
• My favorite pairing is Zorglub/Count Champignac (#champiglub), which I’ve drawn and will continue to draw.
• In my AU, Zorglub and Champignac are married and raising Zandra together. To me, the maximum age gap between them is around 7–8 years, but I don’t label the characters too rigidly — especially since their ages aren’t clearly established, and the comics vary depending on the author. They're both old grown ass men.
• I don’t have a single favorite version of Zorglub, but my art is mostly inspired by Munuera’s solo comics.
• I can’t stand the 2006 animated series, especially its version of Zorglub. For me, that version simply doesn’t exist.
