Not only is Wooloo’s pokeball (thankfully empty, wooloo himself idles nearby, grazing unaware by the fence) now lodged up in the gutter of their home, but Hop is now cradling the throbbing spot where his hand meets his wrist.

How do you hurt your wrist while too-aggressively practicing your pokeball throws, Hop?

He jumps when their front door opens, immediately placing his hand behind his back and leaning against the fence by his pokemon when he sees the glimpse of red and black headed in his direction.

“Hey Lee. Hi, Lee. Morning.” It’s noon, kiddo. And your wooloo is now grazing on one of your shoelaces.

“Um, d - do you think she likes m - me?” Elio wasn’t so sure, though the small blue lizard was certainly enjoying herself. She managed to crawl up Elio’s back, and onto his shoulder. Now, she seemed to be seeing if she could go under his hat.

He glances at the other, a Champion he believed but he wasn’t sure. His mind was all a bit muddled from everything going on, especially as he was suddenly being used as a climbing gym. The Pokemon had been crying just moments ago immune to Leon’s attempts of soothing, only until Elio stepped in did she finally stop and now seemed to be making herself at home.

“ah --- what do ya want, leon?” how long has it been since he had last seen the champion? had to been a couple of years. they did compete against each other in the gym challenge once upon a time. he crosses his arms and looks up at him. “see dat the champion life is servin’ ya well.” he flicks the hat and tilts his head. “seriously, what do ya want? i’m on my way to see rose.”
