John: You shake it up, and it tells the future!
Arthur: Really? Will John strike out with Abigail? [shakes the ball] 'Outlook Not So Good.' Wow, it does work!
Scooby-Doo Return to Zombie Island *SPOILERS AHEAD*
So there’s a new movie that came out yesterday that is the sequel to the infamous “Scooby-Doo On Zombie Island” movie. I heard about it a month or so ago and I’ve been super excited ever since. Well it finally came out yesterday and I was able to watch it. It definitely has the nostalgia to the original series. There’s a montage of the gang catching villains dressed as classic monsters they’ve gone up against. Then, due to stress of being used all the time as bait, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo make Fred, Daphne, and Velma promise to not do anymore mysteries so they can take a break. Also a sheriff told them to lay off the mysteries. And apparently Fred SOLD THE MYSTERY MACHINE!?!? Like, WTF. Anywho, Shaggy wins an all expense paid vacation to an island. So they all go and of course mysterious things start happening. But, the gang keeps their promise to not try to solve it, even after their ferryman says there are zombies. They end up at “Moonstar Island Resort” and they reminisce about the last island that had zombies on it. They CHANGED THE LORE OF THE FIRST MOVIE. They said that Simone and Lena weren’t the only cat people from their settlement, but we know from the OG film that that’s wrong. Their friends were all eaten by gators. And that Daphne did the TV show for “a school project”. And apparently Velma has a blog where she posts about their mysteries and there’s a section over ones she calls “unsolved”. And she doesn’t believe that the cat people were real or that what they went through was real. Anyways, they go through all the zombie stuff and Shaggy and Scooby-Doo finally let them break the promise. Turns out the zombies were fake and the owner of the hotel is filming a movie based off of the blog post Velma made. You can actually tell pretty quickly that he’s making a movie since there are cameras in every corner. They also mention that Moonscar Islands house, the one Simone and Lena live in, was a hotel and they signed in when they go there. But it never mentioned that in the OG film. So then there are also more cat people who turn out to just be people looking for the treasure buried on the island. But there is one cat person left which is unexplained. In short, it was a decent movie, but they did change up some parts of the original movie to fit with the new one. It will be a good movie for the younger generations who are in to the new animation style and who want something different. They definitely did good on the nostalgia, but they changed a bit too much for me to fully enjoy. All in all, okay movie with good nostalgia
Chuck: Walk over here right this instant!
Gabriel : *glares and flies over to Chuck*
Chuck: I told you to walk you little shit
Kali: I was hoping you could help clear things up with one simple question. What's your father's name?
Gabriel: God ... Frey. Godfrey.
and I am sure I'll be just fine if I remember you weren't ever mine
