Helping farmers is the solution to the hunger crisis. And what they need are irrigation pumps.

With irrigation, farmers can plant and harvest multiple cycles of high-value crops throughout the year—independent of the rains. If you have ever farmed or grown a garden, you know you can't rely on rain to be successful. Yet, more than 95% of rural farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa wait and pray for rain.

Your help is a game-changer.

Every $500 provides one farmer irrigation for their farm. Each farmer you help will:

- Grow enough to feed over 50 people in their community.

- Increase their profits from $150 to $850 in the first year, finally providing them with a sustainable livelihood.

- Hire another neighbor to help work on their farm, because production is more than they can handle!

Sometimes I hate being white. I hate that there's such a thing as white privilege. I hate that the world is content to live in ignorance; that as long as it doenst affect them, it doesn't exist.

But most of all, I hate that I feel helpless to change this. Where do I start? What difference can I make in a world so sated by it's own injustice?

Learning the truth can only get me so far. It only makes my guilt and anger grow. Guilt for what I was born; guilt for what my ancestors must have done. Is this my legacy as a white person? A fear of blind acceptance or inhumane action?

Lorraine sadly suffered three miscarriages, all in her first trimester, before Odumbe became a Community Health Promoter in her village. He gave her nutritional advice and sent her to a specialist. Now, she’s six months pregnant. Lorraine mentioned that if it was a boy, perhaps she'd name him Odumbe. At that, Odumbe laughed and casually replied, "That would be the third child named after me." .... Because of your support giving healthcare workers the skills and training to provide prenatal care, there are more excited and expectant parents in the world. And one village full of little "Odumbes."
