Tough Decisions | Mulan & Merida
"Your Highness," the female warrior said as she returned to their camp with an arm full of firewood and tinder, "are you certain you don't wish to stay at an inn?" Mulan personally had no preference over camping or sleeping in an inn. But she would have thought Merida would. They hadn't been on the road long but they also hadn't slept anywhere but outside since they left Dun Broch. She knew that there was a town close by but it would require riding late into the night to reach. From the way that Merida seemed a little off from camping she thought the princess would prefer that option instead of say they were going to camp.
Kneeling next to the fire she had made just a few minutes ago, she began to feed small twigs into it after dropping all of the other firewood into the pile she had made. "We can still reach the town if we leave now." They would be pressed for time but it was dueable. She knew for a fact that Khan could make such a trip. They had been in similar situations before and he had always done well. Usually Mulan gave him an extra day to rest after she pushed him so hard.
Greetings from Luxembourg/Duke and Merida
Rolling mountains, rocks jutting out of the smooth, lovely earth--this land was rather beautiful. Of course, this land was not kind to carriages, so going through this land on horseback as the best way. His men lingered behind him, however, there was only one ahead of them giving directions to this DunBroch they were supposed to be at. He was a native, and that was very helpful to this pack of Luxembourgian foreigners.
It had been a while since he'd left his small country.
Granted, he didn't do it much anyhow, but it was nice to do so. Being cooped up in his room feeling sorry about himself--sad about his curse. But he couldn't be so depressed all the time; it wasn't the healthiest way to be anyhow. Hmmm, suppose he was recovering from his melancholy behavior. That was good. Being cursed was still wretched, but still.
His eyes searched over the landscape, wondering if they were any closer to this Scottish clan. Theodore reached up to pluck his monocle, breathing against it as he cleaned it against his chest. Juliet, his dear horse, give a snort, and he reached over to stroke her mane.
"Good girl."
He hoped they were close--he was curious about them and their culture. And he wondered if he could buy something; maybe something for Gothel. Maybe he could buy a dress for her. The Duke gave a smile at that stretched across his lips.
"Sir!" he called to the native. "Are we any closer?"
"Aye!" he returned, gently pulling on the reins of his horse. "Jus' a wee bit more an' we'll b' there."
"Right, thank you," Theodore responded, nodding his head slowly.
He turned around, noticing his men follow curtly behind him, and he gave a nod of his head.
"Come along, we're almost there."
Juliet gave a snort, climbing over rocks carefully, thrashing her tail as she did so. The Duke patted her side, giving her soft words of encouragement.
"Good girl."
The archer decided to head towards the collection of bear carvings that she had bought from the crafty carver and took a couple of the single bear figures. One appeared to be as if it was fishing in a river and the other was standing tall. Merida soon went to the room where Tiger Lily was staying and left them in a cotton napkin and placed them on the bed. She smiled, before leaving without a sign – hoping Tiger Lily would like her gift.
Tiger Lily hummed as she walked into her room, her face stuffed with some bread from earlier. She smiled as she chewed on the bread, looking at her bed to see a gift. She blinked and stared at the napkin, walking over to her bed. She sat down and placed the bread down on the covers, picking up the napkin. She opened it and her dark eyes light up. "Bears!" She said loudly and stared at them.
She got up and ran to find Merida, smiling greatly. She found her friend and threw her arms around her in a hug. "THANK YOU!" She giggled.
Quiet Me
Quiet Me: I’ll write a drabble about my character trying to calm yours down [be it from crying, from lashing out, feel free to specify.]
Tink was flitting through the forest as she so often did, when she heard an outcry and decided to investigate. In a clearing of the trees, a woman with untamed fiery hair was shouting something that Tink could barely understand. As she flew closer, she noticed an archery range that the woman had been apparently shooting at. Tink watched as the woman gathered up her bow again and attempted to shoot at the target, barely missing the center mark.
In her boredom, Tink decided to play a little trick on the woman. She came closer and waited for the woman to aim to shoot again and just as she released the arrow, Tink quickly flew down to land on top of it. She wiggled her feet on the arrow, causing its turning motion to be more precise which in turn caused the arrow to hit the dead center of the bull’s-eye. She started to erupt in laughter and joy, turning to see a confused, but amused, look on the woman’s face.

Grim sunk down to the ground, exhausted from his run through the woods. It hadn’t been planned but rather had become a necessity as the sky had decided to open up. Merida came into the room after him, drenched from the rain as well and quickly made a fire. Having done that she walked over to him, stroking his head before taking up residence beside him by the hearth. Maugrim’s eye’s started to feel heavy as the fire warmed and tried his pelt, but before he could fall asleep Merida beat him to it. Her body beside him only warmed him more, and he soon fell fast asleep as well.
