👨👩👧 Do you tell people in real life that you write fic?
Lol some people? I don’t hide it. It’s interesting seeing the responses from my peers in the writing program xD Admitting your write fic is like, a death sentence to a professional writing career. Luckily I have no interest in publishing original fictional work, so I don’t care.
😈 Is there anything you enjoy doing that you think your readers hate?
Oh man, I dunno? I hold back a lot of information xD If I were a reader of mine and didn’t have the whole story in my head, I think I’d get so annoyed with the fact that I give information like they’re rations. But I love the suspense >:3c
🌈 What inspired you to write The Red Logs?
No fic name was included so I’m talking about my baby >:D
Damn, I think it was early 2022 when I started writing The Red Logs. Of which, I started because I was alone at home a lot and dealing with a lot of mental health issues, pretty par the course honestly. Star Wars has always been in my life, every age I’ve had some new Star Wars content to consume. I just adore it.
So The Bad Batch came in, and Crosshair was perfectly tailored to make me fall in love with him. He’s just, he’s every crush I’ve ever had. So of course, I wanted to ship him with a nearly-self-insert OC. Anya and I have our differences, but she’s about as close a self-insert an OC can get.
But it couldn’t just be about the two of them. There had to be stuff going on and interesting things! So I crafted a story, that, as time went on, started to look very similar to my life post-cult.
Uh, yeah I was born into a cult and escaped it a few years ago.
So yeah, The Red Logs was born out of love and pain and confusion and change.
