Anyone interested in a triple frontier/ the Pitt crossover? Based on @autumnleaves1991-blog 's masterpiece, switch to channel 2 fic which I helped her with. Fate caused me to check my notifications. How I missed those days of brainstorming. Don't know when it would be posted. Just keep on checking . Wanna add though. Nothing wrong to collaborate with fellow mutual writers never know what y'all would come up with!
I remember an episode in a kid's short fic show (Wansapanataym ata pero sa Channel 5) where the characters are children who were told to believe by the adults that the man in turban (with awfully obvious Indian accent) is a menace who eats children. Whenever he comes, all adults hide in their houses, and the children are told not to talk to him, especially of their whereabouts.
Later, after many shenanigans, the children found out this man is a typical Indian lender, who lost all his lended money to their parents and now cannot bring his dying wife to the hospital. The children felt sorry for bullying him, and told their parents to pay what they lent, because you must never run away from responsibility.
The story told a lot of lessons: Be responsible. Pay your dues. Do not bite the hands of those who feed you. Adults are not always right. Sometimes, you have to step up against the adults to do what's right. And most importantly, do not be racist.
I don't see stories like those nowadays. Mostly it's just teen romance fics about having a boyfriend and hating other women. I get that they're changing the target market to teenagers, but please, stop sexualizing them. When I was a teenager, romance was the last thing in my head cuz I was struggling with my role as a highschooler who's living alone and trying to find some friends. It would have been better if media would stop telling me my problems should be boys.
What more, they star really white actresses. Usually, the actress was brown, then beautified by some magical being to be beautiful, aka white. It pains to think we're stepping backwards, and we're teaching our current kids useless lovestories about farer people.
If some of you are entering the film industry, please, teach lessons about life where we learn to love all.Stop this magical nonsense where local filipino cryptids speak gaylingo and conyo for no reason. We gays and conyos are not stupid and evil. (yes, im talking about GMA's daig kayo ng lola ko). Please talk about our culture, and teach children about a better lifestyle.
Please. Save the industry. Teach real lessons.
And I, thank you.
