While I’ve already said it before, I have not read EOS before so if anything seems off or wrong, well you now know why. Also, huge thanks to @dr-woodsprite for helping me with all of this because these headcanons would not even be a thing without her lovely soul.
- Nesryn can bake. I mean, her father is a baker. She’s not really into it since she prefers archery much more.
- One day, they run out of bread and Chaol and Nesryn bicker about who has to go out to get the bread until Nesryn ends up rolling her eyes.
- “I’ll just make it myself.”
- And then she storms off into the kitchen.
- Chaol thinks she’s just kidding the first time but when he goes to the kitchen, he stares in disbelief at her.
- “ You’re making bread.”
- “ Your observation skills haven’t gotten much better, have they?”
- “ I just didn’t know you could bake.”
- “ My father is a baker, Chaol. What did you expect?”
- Then Nesryn goes off into a cute little story of her younger self baking for the first time.
- Chaol is listening to her words, he really is, but he can’t help but stare at her face as she talks and kneads the bread at the same time. He notices the small smile on her face and little huffs of laughter she makes and the way she brushes back a piece of hair that got in the way.
- “ You’re staring again, Chaol.”
- “ That’s because I love you.” Is his standard answer.
- That night Chaol tastes the most amazing bread he’s eaten in his life and he just demands for more.
- Nesryn rolls her eyes but complies to his request by making some more the next week.
- Chaol also can’t help but subtly drop in hints about how good of a baker Nesryn really is when they’re with the others.
- Nesryn blushes and tells him to stop but doesn’t really mean it.
- Of course, the whole court just has to try this bread that Chaol has been hyping up and they all instantly agree that Nesryn is in fact the best within the first bite.
- Nesryn shakes her head and tells them that her father is much better.
- Chaol meanwhile just smiles proudly as if to say, ’ Look at my gorgeous other half who could beat your asses in archery and in baking.’
- We all know how loyal and protective Chaol is and so does Nesryn.
- She never really sees the effect of it until they’re in some bar and Chaol overhears someone snickering at them. He mentions something degrading about the both of them and Chaol absolutely loses it.
- Nesryn tries to get up to attack the man for what he said but Chaol is much faster and places a hand on her arm before moving.
- In a matter of seconds he’s across the room with the guy down on the floor.
- And you would think that only the Fae can growl but Chaol can too.
- “ Say that about Nesryn again, why don’t you.” All the growls are involved.
- The bar keeper demands for Chaol to let go.
- Chaol only growls some more but listens and lets go of the man.
- When they’ve left the bar and are going home, Chaol apologizes for what he did.
- Nesryn only stops on the streets and kisses Chaol fiercely.
- “ Believe me, if I’d had the chance, I would’ve shot an arrow through his body right then. Except some idiot decided that he just had to take matter into his own hands.”
- Chaol only grins and chuckles before pulling her in for another kiss.
- “ Next time, it’s your turn, Nesryn.”
- Chaol also gets very jealous at times but never really acts upon it. Nesryn hanging out with that guy a little too close? Let me just brood here, real quick.
- Nesryn however does acts upon her jealousy. Most times. Chaol talking to this woman for a bit too long and the girl is looking at him with hungry eyes? Let me just go over there and introduce myself and kiss him.
- And when she doesn’t do that and hides her jealousy, Chaol always notices and later when they’re alone, he’ll first tell her how he loves her and then he shows her.
- Also, Chaol working out? One of Nesryn’s favourite things.
- Her eyes will just roam over those muscles until Chaol has to stop and raise an eyebrow at her.
- Nesryn will only urge him to continue with a large smile and Chaol will roll his eyes and try to ignore her as he follows her instructions.
- Cue the makeout session that happens afterwards.
- Chaol and Nesryn spend a lot of their mornings together.
- They have their own little apartment and past their kitchen countertop, they have a view of the outside.
- Chaol normally wakes up first but Nesryn is the first one to get out of bed. (Unless Chaol wants to either work out or surprise Nesryn.)
- Nesryn sits on the countertop as she and Chaol talk with a blissful smile and whatever they choose to drink in the morning in their hands.
- They prefer to have peaceful mornings because they love to soak up each other’s love and keep the memories of the morning with them as they go through the day.
- Sometimes when Nesryn is still making breakfast, Chaol will come behind her and wrap an arm around her waist and pull her closer to him and distract her from her cooking.
- He’ll kiss and bite up her sides while pulling her shirt (but she normally doesn’t wear one to bed) up and slides his hands underneath said shirt and up her body.
- At one point Nesryn can’t take it anymore and she turns off all cooking units and back to the bedroom they go.
- Breakfast will then turn into an in bed brunch.
