The wolf whines low again, padding up next to him while he’s too frozen in fear stuck between the weird house and a wild animal; the wolf’s wet nose presses to the palm of the Brock’s hand and all he can do is stare stunned. His legs have a mind of their own when he feels them buckle and soon he’s sliding along the rickety frame of the door, the wolf lowering itself down onto its belly next to him and rests his head on his thigh.
