Tyler’s brow furrowed, hearing a series of scratches and whines at the front door. Her head tilted a little and she set her things aside, pushing off of the couch. Walking almost hesitantly to the door, she swung it open after sensing an animal outside, a wolf, nonetheless. Looking down, she gave the creature a little smile, “Hey, buddy..” she spoke softly, brow arching as she saw the lifeless rabbit beside the larger animal. Her hand reached out, allowing the wolf to catch her scent, wondering if she’d pick up on her own wolf gene.
As the door opened, Delanie’s whine disappeared low in the back of her throat. She stepped back for just a second, to allow the stranger to come out and see what she’d caught. All on her own! It wasn’t one of her most impressive catches, not at all ; but it was something and it was food. Delanie plopped back onto her bottom, tail thumping and swishing excitedly. She barked as the hand came forward and nose twitched, head tilted up to give a light sniff of the stranger’s fingers. Then she shimmied closer and all but forced her head into the hand, rubbing against the skin.
