So, your posts kinda give me the impression I shouldn’t even bother with the new Mystery Case File... Should I just play the old ones until the next one comes out?

Well if you like really care about the plot/timeline of the games or just genuinely wanna play a HOG then I say its worth a play, the puzzles and hidden object scenes are still fun and good but they’re just not up to the gold standard that MCF is known for. If you’ve got the funds to spare I recommend picking it up if not for the previous reasons than just to support the series? 

Like Harbinger and Crossfade are still extremely good HOGs but they’re not really the right vibe? The don’t feel like MCF games, I’m hoping that’s something GrandMA will get a grip on as they continue with the series

 As much as I might shit on them, I love these games a lot and even if a lot of them aren’t necessarily good, they’re fun. And Crossfade def falls into the category of fun but Bad™ lol

That said, you can always try out the free 90 minute trial on it first to get a feel for it on your own too!

Which MCF is your favorite??? Mine is DireGrove! I loved the found footage bit.

My favorite one for years was Dire Grove too sdgdghh, I loved the found footage, and how damn pretty it was, and the option of having the MD be snarky to you lmao, tho unfortunately it doesn’t run on Windows 10 (only one that doesnt for some reason >:/ ) SO

after that would be Escape From Ravenhearst, the atmosphere is really good and fucked up in that one and I love how the actor for Charles is clearly having a blast with the role lmao
