Hiii
I am sucker for backstories can we get sneak peek at leader's(Dlcv) backstory pleaseee
Backstories, backstories, backstories… I love backstories too
I have a vague outline of Leader’s if you want to know, it’s not very important to the plot —
Leader was a young hero trained in fighting under the old Superhero, before the commission took over and started running the Hero Tower and doling out missions etc. Because of how they treated old Superhero, and old Superhero’s mentor who Leader looked up to for wisdom etc, Leader developed a working hatred for the commission and the bureaucracy of not being able to help people in need that the commission didn’t deem worthy of a hero’s time.
So Leader, careful to keep civil ties with the commission to not get his license revoked (with the help of Old Superhero sweet talking the commission on Leader’s behalf) was allowed to branch out on his own and work his own missions independently of the commission, allowed to take on his own contracts and work his missions as long as the commission was allowed to take credit, and he was still adhering to the commission’s standards.
Leader is smart, confident in his abilities— both mental and physical, social and political — he is very aware of the world around him and how it works, he comes from a loving family with younger siblings. His father died young so he took on the extra role of protector in his family, and then became a hero to help others, and made a family of his own which helped to pay the bills at home.
Currently in the story, we just learned that there is a new head— a shadow puppeteer — to the commission who is threatening to murder Leader’s team, his second family, if he doesn’t obey them, and has leashed him like a dog.
Leader cares, and because he cares so much he has a lot to lose, a lot of strings that he can get tied in, a lot of people to threaten to keep him in line, and he is terrified, because he thought he was untouchable. This is why he has to go after Supervillain, why he was pursuing him in the first place.
He knew that Villain was working with Supervillain, he just didn’t WANT to believe it, so when he attacks Villain initially, he wasn’t thinking it would lead him to being captured by Supervillain as well… but he got himself caught, and now he’s… well… he’s chained to a wall… passed out from pain… ahem… and he has no idea how his team in fairing on the outside without him to protect them from the commission…
…and he knows that the commission doesn’t take failure lightly, so he’s in quite a bit of a pickle.
Hope this helps colour him in a little more, Nonny!
