There's something so usettling about the Tokyo Revengers 277 chapter. I don't know, I mean I like the happy ending I guess but there's something so wrong in the "save everyone" line. In my opinion one of the main messages of Tokyo Revengers is that you just can't save everyone. The are cases where it's too late (Izana), crimes committed can't be forgiven (Taiju/Sanzu) or because those who you want to save do not deserve or don't want to be save (Kisaki).
What really bothers me is seeing all those "villains", specially Kisaki, being part of the new Toman and super chilling. I mean Kisaki is not good... He was no victim of a thought childhood or circumstances. He was MEAN, BAD, CRUEL AND SELFISH. He fucking killed Hina every single time because he couldn't accept a no. But fuck that I guess... I mean we forgave Taiju for domestic abuse, right?
But do we remember that Mikey murdered someone? Yes, South was a psychopath, yes he killed Draken, but that doesn't mean that's a justification.
I'm not against gray characters. Izana was a murderer and a psychopath and I love him. But at any point during the Tenjiku Arch I was obligated to sympathise and like him or think that anything bad that happened to him was something he didn't deserve. Of course it was sad and no 18 yo boy should die that way, but it's not that he didn't looked for that.
So, idk, maybe it's just me. But I think that this end kind of destroys the whole meaning of the history of Tokyo Revengers.
