Ah, this is going to get covered everywhere and so much, and yes, Zoro gets a back story, and it’s not huge and hopefully it develops more, but it’s huge enough for me, and I know people are gonna complain, cos’ that’s what the One Pice fandom does, and healthy criticism and run-on sentences are a thing, but I LOVED it. 

Also, if Sanji is a Lunarian then he is also a god? More subtle ZoSan moments there, yeah? Not my ship, but you can’t deny that canon sure feeds it. Well, y’can deny it. I can’t stop you.

So, I’ll put up the page that interests me the most, because the cursed swords interests me the most, and this gives some information that I can use, and I guess that I was hungry for.

Anyway, I liked the chap, but won’t got into detail, cos I think a lot of other people will. I want to know what King’s thing is with tempura and udon though. Last week and this week both of his attacks were tempura udon-named.

I’m a fandom blow-in, btw. I came to one piece, piecemeal, through fanfic and read randomly and eventually read kinda in order, so I don’t have the emotional investment that folks who’ve read the series from childhood do. As such, I’m happy to get Zoro development, but yeah, conqueror’s haki. I dunno (I mean, Kid has it too. It kinda seems kinda common nowadays, but I’m sure Oda will let us know his game plan sooner or later).

Oh, one more pic! Very fitting that Tashigi was on the cover, and that’s an Orca on her head, right? Cue the ShaTash ships, cos, like why not?

I think it’s no coincidence that Tashigi was on the cover of a chapter dedicated to Zoro’s swords. Maybe it’s just an homage because the chapter was about sword lore, maybe it’s Oda trolling, maybe there’s something more to it.

This part is also interesting. Why would the Marines go after Kouzaburou if they knew he was a samurai? The Marines aren’t interested in Wano. They don’t go after samurais. What did he/the Shimotsukis do? [Puts tinfoil hat on] Could Tashigi be a Shimotsuki that ended up in the Marines?

Also, in this chapter we got zero indication that Zoro might be related to Kouzaburou/Koushirou/Kuina and therefore be a Shimotsuki too, so that theory is still completely up in the air.

I like how they’re explaining the cursed swords. That they aren’t cursed in the sense that they’re bad for the wielder, but they’re called cursed because they’re being handled by people who are too weak to use them.

And it looks like it’s up to Zoro to test if Enma is something he can handle. Just like back in the dude’s shop back during chapter 90-something. It’s a similar situation.

He’s staking his ability to be worthy of the sword on his life. Before he would have lost an arm, here he’ll lose his life if he can’t get it under control.

And he’s doing it all for his captain. Hearing him call Luffy his best friend makes me happy.

Saw this on Reddit. I don’t think we should look too much into it since lots of people in Wano wear floral clothes, but it’s an interesting coincidence.
