Chapter 368
giuro, non ce la faccio più a vederlo perdere la persona che ama.
Just read the chapter 368 leaks- and what the fuck Horikoshi. From what I read, apparently Izuku unlocks the last quirk and it’s something about speed/enhancement for like 5 minutes. But what’s more interesting is like, his heart’s gon explode? Horikoshi do you have something with breaking people hearts, first Bakugou, now Deku and at the same time us readers.
Scenes which may be clues that Deku’s fate will be the same as Bakugou’s bc of how similar they are to each other :
PS :
This is probably for chapter 369+, but idk so here what I think is going to happen. If Deku’s heart indeed explodes, I think he’s going to meet Bakugou, which will probably not be back to life yet. Since Katsuki was seen with All might’s vestige, then they’ll probably meet. I think it’s going to be so wholesome. The relief Deku would feel seeing 'his' kacchan is all right [ reference to the camp arc ] and Bakugou’s worry thinking that since he’s "dead" then Deku died too. I could imagine it as some sort of Bakugou yelling at him, asking him what happened and Deku just in tears while smiling. Ofc, they gon become pro heroes, so the people out there somehow save them. But there will probably have deaths, notably Mirio. He’s been playing quite a big part on this, it wouldn’t surprise me if Horikoshi was trying to make us built more emotional attachement to him, to then kill him off. It would also explain why Eri, in the volume where he saved her was hiding the last numbers in his costume. Not because he lost his quirk, but because he would die before actually saving someone else, of course his efforts would not be wasted, as in Bakugou and Deku would come back. He also may just be heavily injured, because if I remember correctly Sir nighteye saw a bright future for him, unless Deku somehow altered it, like he did in the overhaul arc. And if that happens he would probably end up blaming himself for it.
Chapter 368: Ready for a Fight
“What?” Devon Grey exclaimed, irritated. “That’s absolutely ludicrous! This has to be some sort of scam! There’s no possible way that young man is the rightful earl!”
“He seems to have quite a bit of evidence in his favor, your grace,” the duke’s private attorney, Lucas Pembrook, said. “And he has the support of another member of your family.”
“Who?” Devon asked, standing to face him.
“Your brother, David,” Pembrook replied.
“David!” Grant cried. “Well, that proves it’s a scam, then. I’ve never known a bigger con artist that David Grey!”
“Obviously, he believes this young man represents a way of gaining control of the estate – or at least claiming a larger share than he has a right to,” Devon said. “Pembrook, you know the depth of David’s issues. You certainly can’t believe him.”
“Of course not, your grace,” the attorney said. “Unfortunately, your parents – and later, you – managed to keep your brother’s shortcomings private, so the public isn’t aware that he’s not to be trusted.”
Devon shook his head, then sighed.
“So what do you recommend?” he asked. “I can’t believe he could win in court, could he?”
“Again, your grace, he has amassed a great deal of evidence in Andrew’s favor,” Pembrook said. “Of course, you still have an advantage in that Prince Stephen remains firmly in your corner – and there’s no way they’ll get their hands on the title without his support. The estate itself, however, is another matter.”
“You mean he could potentially inherit everything except the title, then – including Buckton Hall,” Devon said, suddenly realizing how serious the situation had become. “Which would leave me with nothing.”
“Stephen won’t allow that to happen,” Grant said.
“Perhaps not,” Pembrook said. “However, just to be prudent, it might be wise to begin transferring some of your assets into offshore accounts. Not a great deal – nothing that will be missed or detected if they start looking at your books. But I assume you have some private investments that are not on the family ledgers?”
“A few, but certainly not enough,” Devon said, miserably. “But you’re right, of course. “I’ll start doing what I can to isolate what funds I can.”
“I’ll do the same,” Grant said. “I still have a good portion of my own inheritance, and they can’t touch that. It’s not much, but at least it’s a start.”
“And Matthew’s trust fund is safe, right?” Devon asked.
“It should be, yes,” Pembrook said. “So long as it is in your son’s name and not yours.”
“Good,” Devon said. “But we’re getting ahead of ourselves, right? They can’t possibly win, can they?”
“I plan to fight this claim with everything I have,” Pembrook said.
“Good,” Devon said. “David’s gone too far this time. Show no mercy, Pembrook. No mercy at all.”

What’s your opinion of Casca as a character? What do you think is next for her in the story ?
I put this off til after I saw the full recent chapter, and oof.
Well my current opinion of Casca is that she would've been better served with a badass death scene during the Eclipse than everything that happened after. It's absolutely ridiculous how sexy-lamp-ified she's been.
Absolutely everything about her post-Eclipse has been a painful slog that makes me wince whenever I think about it. From the unrealistic overly convenient embarrassing awkward creepily sexualized and just plain weird age regression to the maternal instincts that have 0 connection to her Golden Age characterization and therefore come across as nothing but pure gender essentialism to becoming a plot device again as soon as she wakes up I have hated almost every moment of her post-Eclipse page time.
And now that we've gotten no payoff to her being written out of the story for 20 real life years I hate it even more lol. I didn't even think that was possible.
I have a few lengthy posts about my Casca thoughts during the Golden Age that I'll link you if you're interested in my more complex take on her back when she was an actual character, but yeah overall her role in the story has been absolute shit since the Eclipse, and on thin ice since her attempted suicide.
As for what I think is next... I have no hopes lol. I think she's gonna be the mcguffin Guts has to save because he needs something to motivate him to do something so the story can keep going. If we get scenes of her in Falconia she's gonna be locked in a room in the castle, she's gonna cry and have some more flashbacks, she may interact with Charlotte or Luca and co, she may escape herself, but regardless it's not going to be meaningful or interesting in any way, and I personally will cringe through it because I hate the idea of all of this, not necessarily as an objective critic but just because I'm not a fan of reading about super traumatized women being sad victims.
Idk man, most of my hopes for the story were resting on something happening at the end of this arc to demonstrate that the story is still about what I got into Berserk for (ie moral greys, guts' fear and trauma, the impact guts and griffith's relationship had on both of them, goals as convenient escapes from complicated feelings, yk all the basic themes) and we didn't get that so I've recalibrated my hopes and now they're at basement level.
Thanks for the question, sorry I'm in negative mode right now lol.
