This is going great though I love the Toga-Uraraka arc weāre getting right now, pretty cool how their quirks evolved at similar times, wonder how itās going to end. Iām hoping Hori isnāt trying to kill Uraraka, though she will probably end up on the verge of death.
I still canāt wait for them to focus back on Izuku and Katsuki though- I wanna know whatās happening with my poor babies- like Katsukiās almost been dead for a year ( 11 months right now it will be a year in August )!! I was expecting him to be dead for two chapters, NOT 30!!

Here are some changes Bones did this season in favor of bkdk and what they could mean.
First, Katsuki thinking of Izuku first thing he woke up. Hori didnāt do this. But it seems like something he may have remembered too late and was sad he didnāt do it and he had Bones did it instead.
Then we have Bones removing āhitotachiā line and turning it into āhitoā, making this line sound like Izuku is saying āhe hurt the PERSON I love most.ā This is an odd change. Unnecessary UNLESS Hori himself requested it. Iāll get into why later.
Then we have them removing Katsuki from this panel. At first this seems bad but itās actually not. It actually fits better than the manga. Izuku canāt bring himself to think about what happened to Katsuki. Doesnāt want to relive that memory. Bones wouldnāt know this really..This requires some serious analysis given that Izukuās PoV is GONE. I doubt they went and did that.
Then the apology. The additional scene of Izuku relaxing in Katsukiās arms and attempting to whisper out his name but failing and then feeling safe enough to fall asleep..Itās very romantic.
In the manga, the class runs towards them after Izuku falls in Katsukiās arms..but in the anime, they stand back to give them a moment. They understand this was an intimate moment between them and are respecting that. Another very weird change Bones made.
However. On top of adding and removing bkdk scenes in favor of the ship, they also removed some Izu//Ocha scenes. Like Ochako looking at Izuku taking off with Katsuki. Or Ochako running into Izukuās hospital room. And in the end she didnāt even take his hand.. but his WRIST.
I think Hori talked to them. Because if they push the wrong ship here, theyāll ruin EVERYTHING. Why? The way the manga is going now, it seems the ending will heavily depend on Izukuās and Katsukiās relationship. The ācontrol your heartā storyline is the final arc.
Itās essential for the ending and Katsuki is the sole trigger of this arc. Hori had to make sure Katsuki was gone for things to happen to Izuku so that he can bring him back when Izuku needs him most. Gentle said ālove always wins in the endā.
And Ochakoās whole character arc and EVERYTHING she stands for, depends on her NOT ending up with Izuku. Itās why Hori was super careful never to ACTUALLY develop their relationship. Heās developing bkdk and Ochako separately.
I think Hori potentially realised that he made some scenes more vague or come across a bit differently than he wanted and since it was too late to fix it in the manga, he may have requested these changes for the anime. Cause theyāre just very specific AND IN HORIāS STYLE!
So if Bones also misunderstood and messes up this season by pushing the wrong ship, theyāll have a lot of problems down the line. Things wonāt make sense and theyāll anger people. Hori is aware how important romance is to people based on how alive the shipping community is.

But you certainly know all about the ships. Everyone talks about that epilogue. Everyone talks about endgame pairs and how badly executed they were. Everyone talks about how tragic Sasu/Naru ending was and their wasted romantic potential.
So if people care so much about romance that they donāt even look at the plot, then Hori will make them one and the same. Iāve made threads before but Izuku wonāt be able to win this without sorting out his feelings for Katsuki. Iāll link a thread here.
So why all of this? Well.. From the very beginning, Hori had to be very sneaky about bkdk. He launched the manga back in 2014 and he wasnāt trying to get canceled right away ESPECIALLY since he was canceled many times before. So he was forced to be vague and trick people.
However.. the manga is close to an end. And heās about to reveal EVERYTHING. And with how anime sometimes downplays bkdk, I think anime onlys would be very shocked when they hear (and they will hear cause itāll be EVERYWHERE) that bkdk became canon in the manga.
So Hori probably wanted to make it as clear as he can without spoiling too much that they are endgame for anime onlys in this season. Or at least to make it make sense. Since season 7 wonāt happen before the manga is done and he doesnāt need anime onlys to be pissed.
He has no reason to be as vague anymore. In the manga, he wrote āpeople I loveā BUT he put a panel only above Katsuki to indicate that this is mostly for him. He probably didnāt have the courage to write āperson I loveā back then. But now, heās ready.
So he may have told Bones to make this change in the anime instead.
He also probably sees how people find Ochakoās speech romantic so itās possible he asked Bones to tone it down a notch.. we will still see how they animated that. Hence the wrist handhold instead of a hand hold.
Itās just cause these changes donāt seem like something bones would do on their own. They animated this season like they UNDERSTAND bkdk. Like they sat down and analysed things the way we do. And we know they donāt care that much. I really think Hori talked to them.
Another reason I think this is cause heās been quite bold recently. With everything from chapter 348 and that narration and releasing Dynama who WAS MADE DURING THE TIME OF THE CREPE CHAPTER to the way Katsuki died, Vol.37 cover and Edgeshotās quote. Itās allā¦ so out there. Heās done being vague. Itās happening folks.
Of course in the end this is just speculation and Bones could just have a massive bkdk shipper on the team. š either way itās a victory for us.
