I hope Doflamingo is down from that attack because i think Luffy has no more time left. Hopefully he can train his gear fourth so he can last longer since i get the feeling there are going to be people that can stand up to his gear fourth form that he will fight.

I always thought Doflamingo was around Luffy’s gear fourth form in terms of strength but Luffy seemed to be outclassing him the entire time, however short it was.

I wonder what Luffy’s devil fruit awakening would be? The only thing i can think of is being able to freely manipulate his rubber body in the way his Python technique does but he’s already shown capable of doing that with gear fourth so that can’t be it.

As of One Piece chapter 1044, Luffy has clearly Awakened his Gum Gum Fruit. Before we go any further, let’s review when Awakenings were first introduced.

Chapter 544:

In Impel Down, Crocodile revealed that the Jailer Beasts were Awakened Zoans, which granted them incredible toughness and recovery. Ergo, fast healing is an ability that is gained through Awakening.

Chapter 785:

At Dressrosa, Doflamingo showed that an Awakened Power user can also alter the world around them, which he demonstrates by turning Luffy’s surroundings into strings to attack him with. So, transforming the world is also a thing.

Which brings us to Chapter 1044...
