He wished he believed her.  He wished the hairs on the back of his neck would stop standing on end.  He wished he didn’t know, so acutely, what it was like to long for something he couldn’t name, to be cruelly aware that he’d been born with a void impossible to fill. No, not born with it; had he been born with it, there would be no one to blame, no loss to actually feel.  He’d been born whole and part of him had been ripped out after the fact: a family, a home, a lineage!  Laufey had torn everything out of him and left him empty when he’d thrown him away—thrown him away in a temple, of all places! The drink was having a bad effect on him.

Okay I spent two days building a website (I’ll post a link to it sometime next week...it’s technically live now but I’m waiting on some final pieces of art to give it that final, shiny polish that I want it to have). 

BUT, it took just about all my brainpower to finish it, so tonight I’m taking a breather and then I’ll get back to that Traveler chapter tomorrow. Should be done and posted by the end of the day.
