M = Marriage(Do they want to get married? If so, what kind of ceremony?)

Sam: yes and in an ideal world, She’d want a small ceremony with her and her spouse’s immediate family, but nothing too grand

Vivian: She doesn’t really care, she’s been to so many and been to her own thrice, the idea of another is neutral to her. if her partner wants one, she’s happy to oblige!

Warren: yes(tho gl getting him to admit it), he’d love to throw a big bash, invite the whole town, country, whatever! He wants to exclaim his marriage from the rooftops, have a ceremony so grand, no one will every forget it

Hugh: yea, that’s a hard no...ofc he’ll have a ceremony when the time comes but it’s not something he wants for himself

I’ll give a non-answer for the Styg ros as you’ll get to have this convo with them in-game(but also I’m incredibly lazy today hehe)

From most to least Jealous:

This goes for everyone but they’d never make their jealously mc’s problem nor act out based on those feelings. In fact, for some the realization they feel jealous is the catalyst for realizing their affection

💫 What is your favourite fact about this character and why?

sam: Though her parents disapprove, Sam takes great pride in keeping up a strength regime and one of her fav activities is to help the staff with gathering and cutting fire wood^^

viv: She is a polyglot! Her mother is from Portugal and her father is half Korean. So, she grew up speaking a lot of different dialects and picked up a few as she studied. Y’all get to ask her about it later, so ;)

warren: He sews small sayings his brother was fond of on the linings of his clothes, a small way of keeping him alive.

hugh: he’s very good at hiding it, but Hugh is a massive germaphobe(tho i forget if they know about cells in that century, let’s just pretend okie hehe) and cleaning, while necessary, is one of his favorite pastimes, especially cleaning small, delicate, and intricate items like gears or clocks.

oh yes!!! Love these! Tried to do both but it got so fluffy<3 deep-into-relationship!warren and she’s short, just a taste^^

“Is that my shirt?” It was. It most certainly was his shirt. 

“Maybe.” You look down and pull at the unstarched, white linen undershirt. Freshly laundered in that specialty lavender soap he insists on using despite its price tag. It’s a really nice shirt and honestly, he should expect this kind of behavior from you by now. 

"You were gone a fortnight." It's not meant to be an accusation but you say it with your back to him, washing your face in the porcelain basin in the corner.

"I was." You hear him take a few steps into the floor, dropping his coat on your bed. "I was gone for a fortnight. But I've been away from you for longer, darling." 

You finish wiping your brow with a towel when Warren comes close enough to wrap his arms around you in a backwards hug. He kisses your shoulder before snuggling into the crook of your neck, sighing in content. 

"I missed you." 

You turn around to hug him properly. "I missed you, too."

Hiii, I love this game so far, regency romances are kinda a guilty pleasure of mine so this is delightful! I was a little disappointed that Ben wasn't an RO but then Warren came and hit me like an 18-wheeler and I'm 😳😳😳 Lord Hind, sir? Spare hand? 💍

All that aside, can I ask what the ROs and Hugh would have done if they'd seen MC being uncomfortable with Chad Jr.? Would any of them have stepped in?

Thank you😊I’m so glad you love Warren and you’re not alone in the Ben fan club hehe I appreciate all the interest he gets but idk if I could handle another ro, especially considering how his narrative fits in with the rest of the gang>> 

As for the Chad scene, I would say that yes, each of the ROs would have stepped in to help mc deal with Chad or escape from him. Although they’d each have their own way of approaching the situation^^

Sam and Hugh would be the least likely to overtly come to mc’s rescue, causing a distraction or engaging Chadley’s attention elsewhere. Warren would find a way to “cut in” and steal mc away, raising eyebrows but that is his way. Vivian would outright confront Chad on his behavior and remove mc from the situation.

49. What is their most valued object? Are they sentimental? Is there something they have to take everywhere with them?

Sam: A strip of frayed, faded blue ribbon. Mc gave it to Sam when they were little and Sam needed a bookmark, it was a piece of mc’s favorite dress at the time. Sam has held onto it all these years, a small connection to her best friend. Like the others, Sam is very sentimental, in private hehe. 

Hugh: His retractable cane. The mechanism is beyond him but its one the first things his partner made for him and it’s been very useful over the years. Hugh is very sentimental but its not in his nature to express love with material things. He’ll cherish the gifts others give him but he prefers to spend quality time with his loved ones. 

Vivian: A small pedant her first husband made her, its resin with a pressed blue cornflower trapped inside. she tries not to be sentimental, which seems to contradict her materialism. But Vivian tries to keep the past in the past, only in her weakest moments does she dwell on what she’s lost.

Warren: A handkerchief embroidered by his mother with his initials. He’d answered with an enthusiastic no but yes, he is very sentimental. Warren is very careful with the objects other give him, he has a habit of taking little gifts from others but when the bridges burn he always remembers to return them.

Do we choose the sins we pay for? Of course, choice comes in when we commit them and Warren is the last person to deny any of the things he’s done. But do we get choose penance? which of our sins will come back to haunt? which ones follows us around like a chorus of ghosts? Is the path to penance paid by the worst of our stains or must we stand on our knees with mortar in hand and build the road ourselves? 

Can someone like him even try? 

Evelyn forgave him. The saint. But the one’s forgiveness he needs, he’ll never get.

It is not conventional to install a sunroom in your estate. Society deemed it a waste as the room wouldn’t be functional for half the year. Funny how this particular instance of waste was considered almost sinful and the whole of gentry life considered necessary, even proper. Lining one’s hallway with gilded wallpaper, manufactured by impoverished, enslaved peoples in other lands, is fashion. But Vivian’s sunroom is a waste. 

Fuck them. 

Long, thin rectangles of creamy orange and feather-soft yellow lined the floor. Vivian soaks it all in, laying on the chaise, sipping cold tea. Fuck them all. This was hers.
