In the moment, I was not happy nor grateful in the slightest when the news of my father’s arrest reached me, the same for his eventual death. However, in this present moment, I consider those to be some of the best things to have ever happened to me. Living on my own & not having my father breathing down my neck at all times felt freeing, & I suppose in some ways it quite literally was.

I don’t think I could ever say any of this to their face, but I really must thank Phoenix Wright for indirectly, unintentionally setting me free from that hell, even if I did despise you at the time. Thank you for successfully clearing my brother’s name against all odds. I’m sorry about the whip, & for being an idiotic fool. I really do care about & appreciate you, as well as consider you a friend, even if I don’t show it.
