So tell us, is TV Ben just as lovely as comic Ben? Also, since Ben was FINALLY shown in the comics again, do you think his personality changed much from the older issues?
TV Ben def has more OPPORTUNITY to show us his personality, but honestly I think more or less his personality is very similar. He wasn’t exactly friendly during his comic reappearance, but of course that’s based on the stressful context of the situation he reappeared in. I’d also be pissed!
Across the board:pre-death ben: ADORABLE SOFT BABYBOY.post-death ben: jaded, salty, and for some reason way more eloquent, but still retaining his kind heart and concern for others after all that’s happened to him.
I think perhaps comic ben was a little bit more naive/eager to please in life than TV ben, which I’m basing mostly on the fact that baby!TV Ben seems more emo than baby!comic ben. But other than that I’d say they’re very close!
Really I’d say that apart from Carl Barks the two writers who have given Flinty the most character-focused writing are Kari Korhonen and Lars Jensen.
I don’t fully 100% agree with the characterization of either but I appreciate them.

I can think of several other workable options —which Drinian and Rhince apparently suggested —of shuffling it so that Lucy, Edmund, and Caspian can all three get a good cabin (Caspian and Edmund sharing? Lucy and Edmund?) but Caspian puts his foot down. The lady, the queen gets a cabin worthy of her station, and doesn’t share sleeping space (though Caspian apparently still keeps all his stuff there). The captain and the mate, who are actually doing the work of running the ship, stay in theirs. And King Caspian, King Edmund, and their majesties kinsman share the worst cabin (though still a step up from hot bunking in the hold).
