best quality: relentlessness. “we don’t stop”. i cannot tell you how inspirational this is to me. i have pulled through disastrous and painful and mind-numbing situations with those three words in mind because if kaz can do it, then by all saints so can i. and his sense of responsibility for his team is,, so GOod like the whole ‘i brought them in here and i will get them out alive if it kills me’ and for all his scheming and terrible friendship and aloofness he. sacrifices. himself. for. his. team. he was ready to walk to his death if it meant his team would make it out of ketterdam in one piece and im NOT OKAY

worst quality: ALL OF THEM. this kid is just a skin shell of sin and garbage and trash and yet??? i love him so much??? but his blindness when it comes to revenge is Not Good. like i get it: justice and closure and everything but there have been times where he needlessly endangers his team for personal vengeance motives and in the words of my dear friend zahro, ‘why make this a revenge mission when you could: • not do that’

ship them with: darling inej,,,, treasure of his heart, lovely, brave, better than anything he deserves, not really his girl but his girl. i almost cried during the hotel bathroom scene (!!!) because these kids are so damaged in their own ways but so right when they’re together. he’s fought for her and carried her and bought her freedom and she’s pulled him out of terror and risked her life for him and believed that even if he can’t ever be something good he can be something better

brotp with: JESPER and WYLAN and NINA and all of the crows tbh because the fact that this boy has friends is a miracle

needs to stay away from: everyone, probably. for their own safety.

misc. thoughts: kaz is. terrible, horrible, awful, but at the same time he would die for the people he loves (and he does love them in his own bitter kaz way) and those two polar opposite halves drawn together into one Extra Teenage Boy make one of the most (if not THE MOST) enthralling characters i’ve ever read
