Charmed Challenge; Day 15 / ? - Favorite Season Four Episodes pt. 2 of 3: Charmed Again “Evil winds that blows, that which forms below, no longer may you dwell. Death takes you with this spell”
Finishing season 4 of charmed (re-watch of course) what a bad message it was sent through.
I love Phoebe and Cole, I love Phoebe and I love Cole, individually. But the message is all wrong. You take a fantastic series, which is about female empowerment, back in the late 90s,and u insert the first Grey character, Cole, in a series that resonate in B&W morality.
The result, to me at least, with the little experience I have as a screen writer, is that the Grey character, a guy, is able to fight, keep fighting his demon side, always, until s5 I don't think there's 1 strong turn, and he has though, that isn't directed towards being possessed or drugged. On the other hand, the moment the woman, one of the protagonist, is influenced by the bad guys, she becomes the queen of evil.
Like, don't insert a Grey character in a B&W narrative, not if u wanna promote women power and the Grey character u insert is a man.
(I don't remember later seasons, I watched until mid season 6 I think, but I'm basing my post on seasons 1-4 only, so if the mains (the sisters and Leo) get more Grey I'm glad. But I still think Cole was the best written character by far, unfortunately) and here's just a cute clip of him
