First impressions with Charmingly-bad-cop
The sky was sunny, the air actually wasn’t freezing for once. There wasn’t even any wind. It was the perfect day. So why of why was Kadir seated indoors in front of this silly classroom lecture? Oh, that’s right. Serge loved seeing them suffer. Kadir had only been attending the academy a few weeks but he already knew that much about him. He loved seeing them out there in the freezing rain busting their asses on the training grounds, so it only makes sense that he’d have them here going over boring textbook drills on such a beautiful day outside.
Not that Kadir had even been paying attention. He sat resting his chin in one arm and looking out the window as an idle daydream formed to ebb away his frustration.
“Before I dismiss you, you’re gonna hear from a guest speaker. He’s more experienced in the field than most men twice his age, so listen up. After that, you’re all done for the day. Take it away Sergeant Kirkland.” And with that, he left the room in what seemed like a hurry. He never seemed that into his job aside from treating the recruits like dirt, Kadir supposed.
When the door clicked shut, Kadir’s eyes trailed from it to the blonde man standing at the front of the class. Great, Kadir thought, more lectures. His attention started to slip away and his gaze again went out the window with it.
A Chance Encounter with charmingly-bad-cop
Grace was running the rain. Okay, it wasn't POURING, but there was still rain. She had had enough searching for one day. Still no luck in tracking down her brother. Why was he avoiding her? Had he found out she'd come to the States?
The thought was too much. Suddenly, she collided with someone. "Ouch! Wanker. Get out of my way!" Then, she realized who it was, and gasped. "Oh my God."
