Hello could we get some more possum facts
unlike the vast, VAST majority of vertebrate life on earth, the water opossum, or yapok, actually has a sixth digit!
count them fingies! one, two, three, four, five..... six?!
this semi-digit is actually a modified wrist bone, but it sure serves the purpose of an extra finger when the yapok is feeling around in dark water for a delicious fish, and it probably also makes the dear yapok absolutely second to none when it comes to slight-of-hand tricks!
never play cards against a yapok when the chips are down, or at least shake them upside down for a bit first. and don’t forget to check the pouch for extra aces.
