The biggest part of the streaming of Dope does NOT come from the awards broadcast (which flopped and her performance actually made them LOSE viewers, as reported by some articles) or from the official upload of the performance on YouTube: they come from a 31 seconds ad on YouTube for the broadcast. You know, the type that you can't skip and autoloads before the video you actually want to play.
Billboard counts any streaming above 30 seconds as a play. So they made it a bit longer and voila: instant top 10 fueled by people who just wants to see something else on the website. That is why those millions of streams are not reflected anywhere. I'm guessing that was part of the arrangement with YouTube all along.
Shady doesn't even come close.
So there are the numbers. And that is the reason why the song freefell to #90 or so the next week. Many monsters are well aware of it and are asking for a YouTube ad for 'DWUW' to help it chart higher.
Dope peaked at 60 something in sales, the YouTube awards peaked with around 220.000 viewers, and the video upload on YouTube wasn't that popular it's been months and it has 15.000.000 plays.
Last weeks' #1 streaming video was Miley Cyrus with Adore You, with TWICE the plays Dope has had in months in just ONE week and that wasn't enough to get the single in the top 20, let alone top 10.
