Analyzing Stromae's Chart

I got emotional listening to Stromae's recent release - 'Santé’ - honouring essential workers. That topic has always hit close to home, since many if not most immigrant parents - Filipino parents in particular, work blue and pink collar jobs that are often overlooked and often emotionally and physically exhausting.

I am so happy that he's back after a long hiatus! I looked back at his old songs, ones that I used to listen to on repeat - and realized how ahead-of-the-times they were. Naturally, I got curious about his birth chart... now let's see some points.

My first impression of this chart is "Man is CONNECTED to the spiritual realms." And what a gift it is for him to share his work with us. I'm just going to list all of the placements/aspects I see that has led me to that statement:

Chart Ruler in the 12th House

Ruler of the Sun & Moon (Luminaries) in the 10th House

North Node in the 12th House

If Stromae has a signature, it's the concepts behind his songs matched with electronic instrumentals, which is a modern genre of music. They go together very well. The signs of the luminaries being ruled by Jupiter in Aquarius showcases this beautiful relationship between humanitarian issues and forward-thinking.

I also wanted to note that the Ascendant opposite Saturn may be attributed to one of his more famous songs 'Papaoutai' regarding his absent father. Since Saturn is also opposing Chiron, I think that it is a wound that he takes personally and it shows up in his work (Saturn in the 6th House).

I would think that in general, due to personal planets in the 12th house opposing outer planets in the 6th house, he is someone who not only feels comfortable but also feels that it is a need for him to make art about his darkest secrets and thoughts. Judging from his music videos and his music in general, he seems to be someone who is really thoughtful about his art because everything he releases are masterpieces. It's art for humanity. His work may also be seen as perfect because of that 6th House South Node + Pluto + Saturn, indicating that he may feel a compulsive desire to create art that accurately depicts the vision he has in mind before releasing anything.
