( @chase—gordon ) I love you more and more each day. To love is not to leave. So, hear me when I say, I may not be wise And I won’t save the day But look in my eyes And know I’ll always stay And I won’t run away I won’t run away

“They keep telling me I should learn to live without you. I probably could, but I don’t ever wish to see the day that I have too. I am helpless, hopelessly in love with you. Please, don’t ever make me live without you...”

The days had not been kind to Paul even remotely. He had practically gone catatonic at this point. He wasn’t eating. He was twenty pounds lighter and the voices in the back of his head were getting worse. He knew now was not the time to admit himself into the hospital but if something didn’t happen soon - he would have no options. The phone rang and he leaned over, grabbing it. “Hello?” He asked softly. “Is this Paul Davies?” His eyes widened slightly. “It is? May I help you?”
Chase Gordon was just admitted into the hospital. He showed up here earlier. You were on his family list… That was all he had needed to hear. He was on his feet in an instant. He had grabbed a sweat shirt, pulling it on and was out the door. It was December, the weather was cold, and he was wearing flip flops because all he knew was he had to get to that hospital. His hands were shaking as he sent a text to Faye. ‘Hospital NOW!’ He hit send, before speeding off to the hospital.
He rushed into the emergency entrance, arriving at the nurse’s station. He slapped his hand against the counter, unconcerned that she was on the phone. “Chase Gordon, where is he? NOW!” He was directed to the ICU. His heart was racing, unsure of what he was going to find. Was Chase still alive? Was he going to die? So many questions that he wanted answers for but couldn’t bring himself to ask. He stepped up to the bed and slowly reached down to take Chase’s hand. “My baby…”
In His Dreams || Closed Para
Good morning, beautiful... A soft voice echoed across his subconscious. His eyes fluttered slightly as he felt fingers pushing back loose strands of hair. “Chase?” he asked slowly opening his eyes. He frowned deeply as he found that his bed was again empty. He reached over, his hand dancing across the silk that did not hold a body. “Baby...” He whined, turning to lay on his back. It was getting harder and harder for him to even bother getting out of bed. If it weren’t for the sleeping pills, he would get no sleep. And Xanthe was the only reason he was taking care of himself. It would take very little for him to just give in. The added stress didn’t allow his medicine to work properly so the voices were back in his head. He left you. He’s dead. He’s never coming back. Gulping he leaned over to grab for the bottle. He popped back two more pills before laying back. At least in his dreams, Chase was still there.

Text ----> Chase Gordon
Paul: Hey, boo, I just got here.
Paul: I will try not to hide too much among the crowd, but it could be a fun game to make you search.
Paul: xox Love you.

I am just dropping off my book bag at home and then I will meet you there. xox
Paul stepped into the front door, dropping his bag onto the floor. He then knelt down to say hello to Cerberus. “I gotta go meet, daddy. You have to be good. We will be home later...” He whispered, kissing the dog’s head. He then moved to stand up. As he turned toward the door, Cerberus whined a bit and he glanced back toward him. “it’s alright...” He said softly but then glanced toward the kitchen. Had he forgotten to take his medicine today? No... he had taken it. He decided as he pulled the door shut and made his track toward the carnival.
Where you at, boo?
Better idea... just meet me over by the mirror thing...
He stood just outside the house of mirrors, taking a moment to scroll through social media as he waited for Chase. ‘Paul...’ He heard Chase say and smirked a bit. “Hey, baby...” he said softly, turning to look behind him only to find that Chase wasn’t there. “Chase...?” He asked softly, frowning a bit. ‘Paul...’ He heard the voice again. This time almost echoed from inside the house of mirrors. He frowned, looking inside. “Baby... I am not a big fan of the house of mirrors...” He stepped around the corner, looking inside. "This is so not funny..." He called out, walking in. 'Run, they are behind you!' He flinched, looking quickly behind before rushing in beginning to wander through the maze.
The further inside he got the louder the voices became. Screaming his name. Screaming for help. Screaming that someone was after him. "Please, just stop. No..." He cried out, spinning in a circle now trapped somewhere in the maze unable to find which way was out. The walls felt like they were closing in on him. He could feel his chest tightening as the panic sunk deeper in. He balled his fist and shoved it into one of the mirrors, shattering the glass. He reached forward, pulling a good sized shard free. At least he would be able to protect himself this way. He wrapped his hand around the glass, gripping tight as it dug into his skin causing his hand to bleed. 'Paul...' He heard Chase again. "Please... no... just stop! Just shut up!" He was hysterical at this point, backing into a corner just begging for it to stop.
