playing with fabric and scarves for ideas on how to design my Griever cloak. the aesthetic is essentially cowboy with Arabic flair, so I think I want to loosely base the hood on a hijab

okay I couldn't wait any longer bc I'm so happy with how it turned out so please enjoy and beHOLD MY MAGNUM OPUS
work was awesome, we all had a great time and my boss was super in love with my (mediocre) cosplay also she said she'd comp me materials + labor for making the costume and I'm like ???? okay?? $70 in fabric and 35+ hours of work idek how much she's gonna pay me *_* but apparently it was such a huge success that she wants to do more themed parties where I dress up and teach and brb laying down bc I just realised I'm getting paid to cosplay
so much of this is a disastre that I'm legitimately embarrassed to wear it in public but whatever. I stopped caring 10 hours ago *crawls into bed*
bathroom selfie game strong
If you're going for accuracy look at the Pepakura forums for patterns and the .obj files of the in game models. It's how I got all my measurements for guru guru. I've got majora cosplay reference pictures too (an earlier idea of mine) if you're interested
ah, good idea! I've saved papercraft patterns for my skyrim cosplays but I didn't think to use it for skull kid *runs to the forums* ps I'm pulling a majoras mask group together for next san Japan if you're interested >u>
Hey, so I was up pretty late looking at Skull Kid stuff and I would have to say that the first thing you should start on is the hat. Or the shirt and pants(those are just regular orange and green ripped stuff)
prolly what I'm gonna do first is decide on my proportions-- I think that's something a lot of people forget to do (or dont care about, which is fine its just something i pay attention to) when they're making a cosplay that involves a lot of props or exaggerated accessories. I kinda already know what I want but I need to make sure it will look good compared to my physical scale =u= after that, tbh I think I'm gonna make majora's mask first since that's going to be the determining factor for the scale of the rest of my costume. (the shoes will likely be the last thing I do so that their size will match the rest of the costume for sure lol)p.s. ill be tagging these with your URL and tossing them into my "#chaser cosplays" tag so they'll be easy for you to find!
