“Oh!N-no, sorry, I um…” Great job, you looklike an idiot now. Nervously, Damien tugged at the end of his braid. He hadn’teven really realized he was staring at her until she did, but being called outon it was horribly embarrassing.

Clearinghis throat to start again, he offered a slightly awkward smile toward thewoman. “I’m so sorry, it’s just that I’ve never seen anyone with hair as fairas yours is. It’s beautiful. I didn’t mean to be rude, it just… took me by moresurprise than it should.” Less so at the beauty and more that it seemed, as faras he could tell, completely natural. Unless she was just that particularlycareful with her eyebrows, but he very much doubted that.

2. ♥  When they have a crush on someone, how do they let them know?

((Honestly? Mattias will very likely keep it as secret as he can, although seeing as his emotions are never too hard to detect in his expressions, it’s also very easy to guess if you’re looking for it. If he takes too long to get found out, they’ll have Brynja going to intervene.

Alternatively, Mattias is likely to do the same for his sister, but mostly because she’ll treat the person exactly the same as she has been from the start, with perhaps slightly more flirting if she wasn’t already doing so. He’s less blunt with the reveal than his sister is for him.))

18. ♥ Do they have a ‘type’?

((Not that they know of, especially on Silk. Mattias believes Brynja to go after women shorter than her, and they have to have a backbone to stand up to her when she gets pushy. 

Brynja’s noticed that whenever Mattias starts to take some form of interest in someone, it’s because they’re either just as expressive with their emotions as him, or because they’ve done something drastic to earn his trust. As far as looks go, Brynja doesn’t have a fucking clue what her brother likes - all of his light crushes have been vastly different in appearances.))

The happiest moment in your life?

Probably when I got my job! I was so nervous, and we were in such desperate need of money. I didn’t have any experience, but... they let me prove I was worth keeping. I’m so happy they did!

She doesn’t blame them for doubting her skill – after all,she’s never worked before, she doesn’t have any record to speak of. They foundways to get around it, to make themselves legal and safe, her ID is legitimateenough that eventually, her begging and applying as much Charm as she could getaway with had them reluctantly allowing her a day to prove her worth.

Dishwashing, to start, as well as cleaning. It was hardwork, her feet ached, she ran back and forth with loads that were just undertoo heavy and serving guests water with trembling hands. ‘You’re too young forthis work, little lady,’ the guests would comment, but just as often theytalked about how sweet she was, how cute, how nice it was to see such a warmsmile greeting them and speaking so politely.

Very nearly she was still turned away, handed a small wad ofcash and asked to leave, but the waiters, oh the waiters, they begged rightbeside her. Their tips had skyrocketed around tables that the girl helped with,they said, you can’t kick her out now!

When Luel made it home she was damp from rain and sweat, herfeet begged her to buy better shoes with the money she’d left the restaurantwith, the small cuts she’d gained when she tried to pick up a glass she brokewere still stinging even after they’d stopped bleeding. But it was all worth itto be able to show up to their home with promises to help keep them fed, toprove she’d been worth saving, to prove that she could be even more useful thanLamia had ever thought.

A dream you had recently?

I don’t remember most of my dreams, and I don’t care to talk about nightmares.

Faceless, she can never pick out faces in her dreams. It’s only ever an issue when she thinks they might be memories, but it also helps her to pretend that they’re purely imaginary people. A short man, strong enough to pick her up (a child in this dream, she hates when she’s a child, it makes her think too hard about the dreams) and spin her about. A woman, her hair long and black and waving in a way that Lamia insists must be just a reflection of how she sees her own hair. 

 They speak in muffled voices, like they’re on the other sideof a thick pane of glass. She can’t track their mouths, they don’t move in timewith the words. She can’t guess what they’re saying, if there are namesinvolved, if it’s even the languages she knows now.

Holding one of their hands in each of her own, she’s leddown paths through parks with blank signs and trees that don’t makeimpressions, through the paths of people who might stop and say what she guessesare greetings, people who wave her over as if to play. But she stays connectedto the two adults – even if it’s a dream, she wants it to last.

But like dreams do, it ends before she’s ready. And althoughshe might have enjoyed the feeling of older hands grasping hers and comfortingarms winding tightly in hugs like she was made to fit there, she’ll only evercall them nightmares once she’s woken from them.

Fire agate, copper, coral, mica?

Fire agate:if my muse is brave or cowardlyOverall, Luel is afraid of a great deal of things. But she’s also always willing to terrify herself to help others - for example, a child just got their toy stuck to a Spinarak web? She’s probably trembling and crying in fear as she makes herself reach for it.Copper:how I think my muse will end up when they're olderPersonally, I don’t see her changing too much on her own. If left to her own devices, she will continue to be only mildy in control of her abilities, only mildly capable of taking care of herself, and incredibly concerned about helping others in any way that she can.Coral:how my muse views the natural worldShe sees the world as an absolute wonder, full of opportunities. Humans, she’s not so sure about, because they generally have more destructive tendencies than Pokemon do, but they’re also capable of being quite great! She’s very thin skinned, and when people find ways to insult her, it hits very deeply. Not that she’ll let it keep her from being a good person! But it definitely sticks with her the rest of the day.

Nebula stone & zebra stone

Nebula stone: how good my muse's memory is

Eli constantly recites entries on pokemon so he has a fairly good memory. He does sometimes get his information mixed up or muddled, but it’s not something that’s more likely to happen if he’s stressed - rather than in general.

Zebra stone: what gets my muse excited

This kid gets excited about pokemon but not much else. For him pokemon are like a beacon of light or an oasis in a desert. They are safe haven, and he prefers to interact with pokemon over people most of the time.
