Another day meant another match and another event to attend. Thankfully there had only been three days left. This event had been far more welcome than the others for him. The pier had so far been his favorite place in the beach city. It was a touristy spot but with good reason. Tonight the place was more lively than usual with tons of event participants roaming around and finding their matches for the night. He weeded through the crowd, muttering excuse me’s here and there while attempting to find the nearest open bar. Once one was finally found he took what looked like the last open seat. Ordering a beer as soon as he flagged the bartender down. Glancing next to him, Jay recognized the face and was glad that it was his match. “Bourbon or beer tonight?”
