A YouTuber goes to visit her friend, because their trip got cancelled and it’s her friend’s birthday. Said she was inside the whole time and it was her friend’s family’s private property, so she was social distancing. Of course, she got a lot of back lash.
People are still confused about what social distancing is, and that we’re supposed to only go outside for exercise and close to home, or for essential shopping trips and for food. And even then, staying 6ft away from people who you don’t live with. We’re to only be physically close or casual with people who live in the same home as us. Even if you’re related to the person you’re visiting, even if they’re your boy/girlfriend/partner, if they live in a separate home than you, don’t visit them even on their birthday. Even people engaged to be married are staying away from each other if they don’t live together.
Agree she made an exception for herself. HOWEVER, it sounds like people accused her of being the reason summer won't happen. Um, people know that weather and seasons and shit are still gonna happen, regardless of how long shelter-in-place is happening...right? Don’t worry All, summer will be there for you to look at from your yard or bedroom window. Don’t worry. Lol.
