Day 3, Eden stuck her thumb nail into the veins on her wrist. She leaned lazily over the counter at Endgame Arcade where she’d worked that summer in 1989. It felt silly to be standing there now for her shift, but unable to tell her parents that she was just...(time traveling?) having a bad dream and would eventually wake up, her bantering mother forced her to show up for her summer job. Needless to say, Eden hoped that maybe if she did everything right she would wake up one day in her bed in 2020 and things would be back to normal. Considering she wasn’t acting her usual cheery and bright self, a few people had already asked her if she was feeling okay (she wasn’t). Hearing a voice and assuming it was someone trying to get change for the machines, Eden sighed, “Does it matter? We’re all stuck in some nightmare anyway.” @iriszhao
