"Friendslop" is the dumbest term for gaming ever and I refuse to listen to anyone who uses it unironically.
Oh "the game is built for clip farming and seeing people do stupid shit?" Here's a question: are they having fun? Further, If you played it with your friends, would they have fun? Sure the clips are funny, but if you're laughing and hearing a dozen people laugh at the same stupid stuff in their game, wouldn't you if you played it?
Repo, Lethal Company, and Content Warning are less than $30 and easily were the most fun experiences I've had with my friends in YEARS, I would absolutely buy another cheap PvE multiplayer game because it's FUN. Watching my friends do stupid stuff and hear/see them eat shit in 4k is fucking hilarious, have you ever heard someone scream right before they got killed by a creature in front of you in Lethal Company and laugh like a hyena just to realize "oh shit I'm next rUN!"
"Friendslop" games are amazing and I want more. Give me the slop I will eat it out of the pot with the ladle itself.
Rabbit & Steel is an absolutely adorable game with clear Touhou inspiration. It's a co-op, with a single player mode, that's a puzzle-combat-bullet hell. I didn't even know that genre existed. You start with a group of rabbit girls, and go through the mystery of these cursed kingdoms while unlocking more girls and more weapons for the girls.
A sequel to the management sim, Lobotomy Corporation, but this one isn't a management sim. It's a turn-based combat x story-driven visual novel that later lead to the creation of Limbus Company, the third installment of the Project Moon worldbuilding.
Intense worldbuilding, fantastic Korean voice acting with subtitles provided, mysterious and intriguing characters, returning characters and anomalies alike, and the aftermath of Lobotomy Corporation's ending. It makes you curious, morbidly so, to see what happens next.
Price Expectations: Moderate (Arguably a little expensive)
Genre: Turn-Based Combat | RPG | Visual Novel | Team Management | Heavy Worldbuilding
Extra:
Upgraded artstyle from Lobotomy Corporation
Grim-Dark Project Moon worldbuilding
Fantastic voice actiing
Beautiful Original Soundtrack
Upgraded & more diverse character editor from Lobotomy Corporation

One of my top ten horror games. What is up with horror rpgs being so damn good? Fear & Hunger, Omori- Now this and OFF. I'm drowning in good horror. This game blew my mind. It's genius, its messaging is though-provoking, its gameplay stressful but painstakingly intriguing. The characters and humor are amazing. And the boss fights-
Please experience it for yourself, or at least watch someone play this game. It's so good.
I know what you're thinking. Another Gacha? I know... Im sorry too... But I'm in deep as an f2p and I have to keep hoping that this game will grow a global fanbase as feral as I am for this game.
Picked this up on a whim one day, and became hooked. Not intrigued, hooked. I mean playing this game until the sun came up because I lost track of time hooked, not because of gambling, I don't think I ever rarely pull. I play for this story. The drama. The doomed lesbians. The death?! This is a stunning visual novel hidden underneath a turn-based gacha.
Not as bad colorism as Genshin Impact, but could be better

Cozy, bug-catching game where you go around a park challenging children to beetle battles. It's an incredibly cute game, very relaxing, can get oddly competitive, and has a lovely catch them all no worries kind of vibe.

This game is too funny to be as unrecognized as it is. If you like linguistic puzzles this game is easily your next game of the year. You play a character in this tower of babel-like environment trying to get through it again and again as language continues to change. You start knowing nothing, and slowly uncover the truth in people's bizarre words.
Price Expectations: Moderate
Genre: Linguistic Puzzle | Stealth | Adventure

Barotrauma
Have you ever wanted subnautica to be scarier, more difficult, and to play with friends who are more likely to kill you than the ancient horrors of the deep for the sake of the bit? Your answer is Barotrauma. A sort of 2D deep sea space-sub survival horror, where you and a crew of friends try to complete missions without sinking to god only knows where.
Wait who was supposed to keep the power from dying?
Are we on fire?!
Can this thing blow u-
Have a Nice Death
I surprisingly liked Have A Nice Death. I didn't initially think I'd like it as a roguelike, because I was very guarded when it came to games in the genre, especially with the metroidvania take, to meet my high expectations now. I mean these games have to keep the attentions of players who played games like Dead Cells, Rain World, Hollow Knight, and Hyper Light Drifter
The gameplay is incredibly smooth, I liked the hades-style take on the weapons, the humor was of course very morbid and existentially refreshing. The bosses were good challenges, and I liked the re-playability in exploration of this take on the underworld. The atmosphere was very dark, workcore, and super well animated.
Here me out. Turn based fighting game. How does that even work? I asked that very question myself, and I still don't know how to describe it. Really only looking up a YOMIH video and seeing the eye-bleeding action packed clips will only make you more confused. This is a good game for the patient, stickman lovers, and mod hoarders.
(But can it beat cowboy?)
Price: Very Cheap
Genre: Turn-Based Fighting Game

People started adding their OCs and favorite video game characters, and then next thing you know you're Jotoro fighting Sans to the death in turn-based combat somehow

Fallen A.C.E.S.
It's still in beta, but if you're an FPS enthusiast and wanted to support the same publishing team behind Ultrakill, you must check out Fallen ACES. It's pokes fun at everything vintage all at once, while providing a batshit insane storyline and insane combat. I will admit though it's a difficult adjustment to get used to the combat style, but mesmerizing once you figure it out.
Does anyone know where I can get Twilight princess for the Wii u/game cube for cheap I mean like preferably 25-50 bucks? It has to be US region. It doesn't have to come with a case but the game itself has to be working. You might say "just get the Wii version" but I don't love working with motion controls. I would prefer the Wii u version but I know this is probably a long shot but let me know please.
For those who like FPS, multiplayer games and spy shenaniganeries in general: Deceive Inc. is now on sale!
(Conversion: the base game (in the middle) is roughly 3-4 USD. Don't take my word for it though, it might be a different price in your area, But it's still really cheap.)
What is Deceive Inc. and how is it played?
Deceive Inc. is an extraction FPS where you're tasked with going into an NPC-populated area to extract a briefcase by blending into the NPCs, all without getting yourself sussed out and gunned down by other players.
To do so, you have a Cover, and have to obtain Intel. You get your Intel from around the map and change your Cover to enter higher-security rooms to get your 1. Field Upgrades (perks), 2. Keycards (which will let you into doors for free) and most importantly 3. disable the Security Terminals to the Vault.
Once the Vault is open, you get in, get the briefcase, and get to the Extraction Point(s) safely, or at least alive. Keep in mind: there are still other agents who want the briefcase, and in most cases, that requires you to be dead.
Sounds fun? Get the game!
2. Okay, but why?
It's fun!
The community on the official Discord server is very friendly, especially towards new players. There are custom games organised every so often, and I've personally gotten to know a bunch of friends through it.
The game itself and its mechanics are fairly simple once you get through the tutorial (which will explain it all in better detail), but the mind games people play and the Shenanigans are the main attraction. There are a couple specific agents that are very good at this: for one, Madame Xiu. Her main skill is teleporting to other NPCs (and there's a delightfully evil laugh as she does that), which can get you out of fights, reposition, OR get you into one if you so happen to teleport into another player. Here she is:
She's also the tallest character in-game, NPCs included. I love her.
And two, we have Larcin, who is a certified Rat Bastard™️and whose main gimmick is 1. stealing items from other players and 2. turning invisible. You can imagine the chaos that comes about. Here he is:
He's French, but don't let that stop you from the fun.
Also: the music. This is one (or four; it's a medley) of the many bangers in game, have a listen:
IMO it's worth it just for the music. The graphics don't let up too. As for its diversity, more than half the playable cast is canonically queer half the cast is Not White, and half are women.
3. But I'm bad at FPS!
Don't worry, I'm terrible too the game offers a Beginner Protection Mode to players below level 50, which pairs you with other players below level 50 and some bots. Past that level, you can have private custom lobbies that you fill with bots, or invite your friends to play with you too. There's also Training mode, where you can test your build against a bot that can be revived over and over again indefinitely. But winning is only a tenth of the fun: most of the game is based around the spying.
4. Does it have co-op?
Yep! There are three modes: solos, duos and trios. In solos, you're on your own: any spy you see is an enemy. In duos and trios, you pair up with another (or two other) friend(s) to extract. Teams means more shenanigans, but also more fighting (you can be revived by your teammate though, so this isn't much of an issue), so be on your toes. If you're looking for a co-op game that isn't a platformer, this is it!
5. Microtransactions? 🤨
There are two currencies in the game: Credits and Bonds. Nominally, Credits are the free currency (you earn them just by playing games, for 50-150 per game depending on performance) and Bonds are the premium currency you can pay IRL money for. However, you can also pick up Bonds for free in the game (there are just piles of Bonds lying around in maps), and you can also earn Bonds by levelling up your characters (doesn't take anything more than time and effort). Past the first 10 levels, every level you gain on a character gives you some free Bonds.
All Bonds do is unlock additional cosmetics. The characters are all unlockable through Credits, and you get four free characters right off the bat (Larcin above is one of them). There is absolutely no p2w mechanic (every win is pure skill and luck), and once you purchase the Season Passes, they are available for forever, indefinitely. The devs have made DI very friendly to players in this regard. Of course, you can always buy Bonds (and support the game!) if you're impatient.
In conclusion: get Deceive Inc. and get deceivin'!
Just finished the fantastic little surreal first-person puzzler "Smile for Me" by @limbolanegames and now super excited to dive into their new game "Great God Grove."
I hope the people at Farmville, Royal Match, and Fishdom know that I will never be playing their games. Not because they are unenjoyable. They might be perfectly fine. But because they have the most Annoying Ads in the Known Universe :))
