Struggling with the lighting but here's a #CheapArtSupplyChallenge featuring "Sundae" of #DessertDames ✓Random substance 20 copy paper ✓My daughter's chalky watercolor set ✓@thecraftcentral brushes (affordable but they're actually decent brushes until you wear them down) When asked what's most important in creating art, honestly I think you can do anything with anything as long as you know how to work it. Know your materials' strengths and weaknesses... For watercolors: I can paint on receipts, with kid-grade watercolor but I cannot paint with those plastic brushes :( so personal priority is a good brush before I start on a piece. Just a friendly little reminder to keep making stuff, keep scribbling down your ideas, and keep on going... I think we all need these reminders from time to time! ❤️❤️❤️ I am always starting new sketchbooks for whatever reason, so I found the cheapest sketchbook ever full of paper that is not so stellar, and I've been having so much fun with it. It has really loosened me up to know I spent so little on a sketchbook, and with less precious materials, I worry less about making "mistakes" with my art. Do you sometimes feel like fancy art supplies are too much pressure? I love quality supplies too, but sometimes I just need a new tactic to loosen myself up for maximum creativity!
