-sighs- so it's been a week since I got fired from the big box massage "spa" i was working at. They were giving me such bull-shit reasons: they were telling me my sales numbers were low to what they wanted, I apparently had too many client complaints, they were practically demanding perfection and it's impossible to live up to their expectations. They expected me to have NO client complaints and that's fucking impossible. Not every massage therapist is right for every client. Every therapist will get complaints somewhere, sometime. it's just the nature of the profession. I always got great comments afterwards, even the manager who fired me told me on occasion that my clients would say awesome stuff about me at the front desk. I'm a fucking kick-asstastic therapist. Yes, I have a lot to learn about massage, but still...don't tell me these things and then turn around and kick me down because of what a few of my clients said in disgruntledment. I specialize in specifc work, like deep tissue and trigger point therapy...I like to fix problems areas that the client has and the company is such a huge corporate machine monster, I don't think much of what the management and most of the clients come in really know what constitutes as Deep Tissue massage. I'm gonna take a few weeks off and then look for a job in someplace smaller and not corporate like this company. I really hope I can find something better. I looooove giving massages, helping people and making them feel a lot better.
