MELBOURNE: SUNDA DINING // You know how good a place is when the pickles deserve their own post? Impeccable service, delicious South East Asian fusion food with a creative Australian twist. Dined alone on Friday for lunch after jetting in to Melbourne from Perth in the morning. The restaurant vibe was friendly and relaxed. I was seated on the bar seats directly facing the chefs and the open-plan kitchen - it was so enjoyable that I easily spent three hours here watching the chefs in action whilst slowly savouring the food. At no point was I rushed to finish my meal. To start off, the complimentary pickles are such a treat - crunchy, tangy, bit spicy and topped with peanuts. The perfect appetiser. Honestly wanted to have more of the pickles but was too shy.
