"Chelton is real" I say into the mic.

Nobody says anything. A tumbleweed rolls across the sticky beer-stained carpet. I cough, the mic cracks and I leave.

I go back to the bar the next night

"Chetknox is real"

again silence...suddenly two people start clapping, everyone turns round, it's soultragedy and testing-paperclip.

I go back a third time

"The dead poets are poly"

Nothing. Then splat a rotten tomato is thrown at me, I get tomatoed by everyone.

I go back a fourth time.

"Cheltonstreet is real"

The crowd jumps up on the stage and smash their glasses on my head and then stone me to death.
