History
Lian was born in Shanghai, China where she would grow up with her single mother and two younger brothers. Her brothers were promising athletes, and sports were their passion. But Lian was always drawn to music. Her mother signed her up for music lessons, and she studied composition. Lian learned how to play the piano and violin. She entered a global audition in China, and signed with SM. She moved to Korea in 2016, away from home for the first time but finally getting to do what made her happy. Make music.
Personality
Lian is NCT’s soft bean maknae. She’s adorable in every sense of the word. She cares about others a lot and is always trying to be there for her members/friends. At first meeting, she’s shy shy shy and takes a bit to open up. But once she’s comfortable, the outgoing parts of her come out. She’s super cheerful, empathetic, and optimistic, always hypes everyone up. But she has a chaotic side too: she is a notorious prankster and has fooled everyone at least once. Since she’s their cute Maknae, she never gets in trouble of course. Her biggest flaws are her tendencies to over-analyze things and just how petty she can be when upset.
