A ⇴ AFFECTION
Jongdae loved to cuddle you, but he also knew whenever you weren’t in the mood for affection too. You never wanted to hurt his feelings by pushing him away, but once you were feeling better, he would be straight back over to you.
B ⇴ BUMP
He worried about you a lot as the days passed and your bump got bigger and bigger. Jongdae took on more and more responsibility in order to make life easier for you, from big tasks around the house, to even the smallest of things like picking up your phone charger when you needed it so you didn’t have to bend down and grab it.
C ⇴ CRAVINGS
There were never any complaints from Jongdae whenever you were experiencing cravings, he was always more than happy to help you out and settle your cravings down too. He couldn’t begin to imagine how tough it must be for you when you wanted food so badly, and so he’d always get it as quickly as he could.
D ⇴ DUE DATE
As your due date approached, the nerves definitely began to kick in slowly for you both. The two of you spent even the weeks prior to your due date making sure that everything was organised so that you had less things to worry about when the time came. Jongdae made sure that everything was organised around the house, letting you rest and simply shout out any orders that you had for him to fulfil.
E ⇴ EMOTIONS
Jongdae was quite an optimistic person most of the time, and so whenever he felt himself getting nervous, he’d always remind himself of the end goal, and your baby coming into the world. There were times when he had worries and would think of the bad things that were coming your way, but all of that was far outweighed by the knowledge that once all of that passed, he’d be able to call himself a dad.
F ⇴ FAMILY
Both of you were very close to your family’s and so you always made sure to have them involved. Whenever the two of you had news, or a new scan photo from an appointment, both sets of parents were the first to see them and bask in your excitement together. They’re always the first ones to offer support to you both whenever you need it which you’re both grateful for, especially with Jongdae’s schedule.
G ⇴ GENDER
The two of you decided to wait to see the gender of your baby once you’d given birth. Neither of you were particularly fussy about whether you had a girl or a boy, the only thing that the both of you were worried about was that they were healthy, and after that, then you could celebrate if it was a boy or a girl.
H ⇴ HEARTBEAT
When Jongdae heard the beat of your baby’s heart for the very first time, you could tell just how emotional it was for him. He tried his hardest to keep it together as he held the monitor to his ear, but as soon as the thuds got louder as it moved closer to where your baby rested, he failed to hold it all in any longer.
I ⇴ “I LOVE YOU”
Actions spoke louder than words for Jongdae, and so he’d often come home with a few of your favourite things to try and cheer you up whenever you had a particularly rough day. He’d always show you that he paid attention by buying the things that you liked, silently letting you know that he loved you.
J ⇴ JEALOUSY
There were moments when Jongdae would find himself unintentionally getting jealous of you because you always got to be around the bump, whilst he had to go to work or do something. That jealousy wouldn’t last for long though, because as soon as he saw you in pain, he was glad that you were the one carrying the bump, as you were much stronger than he was to deal with pregnancy and the bad times that came with it.
K ⇴ KICKS
He’d often lose track of time whenever your baby was kicking as Jongdae settled beside your bump. You’d be fast asleep above him whilst he kept feeling around for little bumps, often staying awake right through until his alarm went off the following morning, leaving him absolutely exhausted at the studio the next day.
